Alexis Bellino’s Surprising Twist on Marrying John Janssen: ‘We’re Doing It Differently!’

Wedding bells are ringing for Alexis Bellino and John Janssen, but don’t expect The Real Housewives of Orange County friend to be walking down an aisle any time soon.

During a recent visit to Bravo HQ in September, Alexis revealed that she plans on having an untraditional wedding with John in the summer of 2025.

“We’re not doing a typical wedding,” she said. “We’re changing it up; we have a couple [of] creative ideas.”

The couple wants to identify a venue first before making any other concrete plans, though Alexis has an idea of her overall vision.

“I don’t know the dress style yet. I’m not wearing a wedding dress, I’m not walking down an aisle,” Alexis exclusively told BravoTV.com, which you can check out by watching the video at the top of this post. “But, my son James [Bellino] did ask to give me to John, so we’re gonna have to figure that out because I don’t want to walk down an aisle.”

Alexis and John’s desire to go a non-traditional route could be because the two have both been down the aisle before. Alexis was previously married to Jim Bellino (who she shares three children with) and Jeff Barry. She was also engaged to Andy Bohn from 2020 until 2023, while John was previously married as well.

Who will be on the guest list for Alexis Bellino and John Janssen’s wedding?

Though John and Alexis don’t want a lot of the pomp and circumstance surrounding a traditional wedding, their ideal guest list is growing by the minute. “I mean, we’re thinking 100 or under, but we’re already at like 80 people just with family and close friends, so I don’t know what it’s going to look like,” Alexis shared when she visited Bravo HQ.

She also noted that the two are “at the very beginning stages and it’ll be exciting to continue planning.”

“We need the venue first and then we can go full force ahead,” Alexis added.

As for the cushion cut sparkler that John offered Alexis on their nine-month anniversary, the RHOC Season 18 friend confirmed that the couple shopped for the ring together prior to the proposal. They settled on the shape because it was one that neither had used before in their respective prior relationships.

“We’ve both been married before, so we had to, obviously, we eliminated those shapes from our selection process, and this is what we chose,” Alexis explained. “This was my favorite, but it’s definitely a wowzer, so I’m very blessed.”
