Even though Alexis Bellino and John Janssen are madly in love, it doesn’t mean they are ready to own property together. The newly engaged Real Housewives of Orange County couple recently revealed that while they are planning a wedding, there isn’t a rush to buy a home together. The idea seems odd since married couples usually live together, but this is their new normal.

In an interview with Bravo, Alexis opened up about her living situation with John. The Real Housewives of Orange County star shared, “I mean, we pretty much live together right now, anyway.” Alexis stopped by Bravo headquarters to answer a few burning questions. She added, “We bounce back between both homes.” Currently, each one has their own space to retreat if necessary. But Alexis quickly doubled down, noting, “When the twins graduate, we’ll decide then.” Season 18 has shown Alexis madly in love with Johnny J, so the admission surprised fans who thought they would want to shack up immediately.
However, Alexis sees a future where she and John share one home. The mother of three revealed, “Of course, we’re gonna buy a home together when we decide not to have both homes, but, until then, we’re just back and forth.” Alexis is serious about putting her parenting ahead of being a wife. She shared with Bravo that they decided to keep separate homes mainly for the children. “We decided we’re going to keep both homes. I have twins in high school still. We don’t want to uproot anybody from their normal, so we’re gonna keep both homes for a while,” she said. Alexis has more important things to worry about, like her upcoming nuptials. When asked how engaged life was going, she added, “We had only positive from friends and family about it. Everyone knew it was coming.”
