RHOSLC” star Meredith Marks has been the subject of exit rumors since the season 5 reunion. Tea has been spilled across the internet with claims that she could be demoted or cut from the cast entirely when the show returns for season 6. But despite the rumors, Marks doesn’t appear to be going anywhere.
Season 5 of ‘RHOSLC’ wasn’t the best for Meredith Marks
Being an “RHOSLC” cast member isn’t always easy, and season 5 certainly tested Marks like never before. While she has often handled drama by screaming/slurring/walking away, the latest season pushed her to the edge, leading many to wonder if it’s time for her to step away. Once a voice of reason, Marks’ approach this season has felt different, with more outbursts and a greater sense of her being disconnected from the group.
Throughout season 5, she has had more than a few intense moments, often shifting from calm to combative in an instant. Early in the season, she took a backseat while newer cast members like Britani Bateman took center stage.
One of the most talked-about moments occurred at Mary Cosby’s house when Marks clashed with Angie Katsanevas. Cosby attempted to calm the situation, but Marks—and her bangs—took offense, leading to a tense exchange. The once-levelheaded jewelry designer seemed to be fanning the flames rather than diffusing them, a shift that has left some fans questioning her role on the show.
As the season wrapped, it became apparent that Marks was increasingly disengaged from the rest of the group. During a dramatic dinner scene in the season finale, she seemed to reach her breaking point, storming away from the table and telling producers she was “done.”
Compared to Cosby’s more calculated season 1 exit, Marks’ reaction lacked the dramatic punch that fans have come to expect.

The season 5 finale was tense, but the “RHOSLC” reunion took things to another level. Marks found herself in the middle of multiple confrontations, including a heated exchange with Bateman. At one point, she snapped, “I don’t care. I’m not going to let you spread lies about me.” The tension escalated when Andy Cohen brought rumors that her husband, Seth Marks, had a “side chick.”
“I’m getting angry,” Marks said after hearing the accusation. “The whole reason I came here was not for this. I am finished.”
That was not the only time that she threatened to leave. While going at it once again with Katsanevas’ husband Shawn’s appearance on a podcast, Marks took aim at Bravo Head Honcho Cohen when he called the argument a “huge waste of time.”
“I’m getting angry,” Marks declared. “In fact, I think I’m finished. I’m done. The whole reason I came here was not for this. This is a load of (expletive)!”
The experts over at Bravo and Cocktails weighed in on Marks’ threats to leave the show. Pointing out that no one on the cast seemed to really make a move to stop her. They also confirmed that, despite the rumors, she will be back for season 6.
“It’s this holier than now vibe. Like when she stood up and was like, I’m leaving, I’d leave. Nobody seemed ready, and nobody really wanted to stop her. She couldn’t stop herself. Angie was like, okay,” explained hosts B and Amanda during a recent episode.
“I was told production loves her, and I find this shocking, but she is back.”
