Erin Lichy’s marriage to Abe Lichy hit a major bump on The Real Housewives of New York City Season 15 when she learned that he had made some financial choices without her knowledge, and now, she’s reflecting on their difficulties.
The betrayal happened while Erin was navigating her mom’s breast cancer diagnosis, and a few months before her dad, Eli Yitzhari, passed away. The New York native, who is due with the couple’s fourth child in April 2025, opened up about everything on the January 28 episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast.
“There were financial decisions, basically, that he made without telling me because he wanted to protect me like I’m some little innocent baby [who] doesn’t know about anything,” Erin said about discovering that Abe sold off their shared bitcoin years earlier without telling her. “I do get it, and I do understand it.”
The betrayal apparently went much deeper than the bitcoin for Erin, because the two had already gone through significant financial hardships when they used to operate their now-defunct purse company together, FrameworK.
“I think what happened was, we had this business together. He was on a great track working at Kasowitz [Benson Torres LLP], but then we had this business that he was working on with me, and it took away from him really focusing,” Erin explained on the podcast. “And he ended up leaving.”
Then, when the spouses made the custom bag brand both of their full-time jobs, they “got into debt.”
“Like, the classic American horrible story where a business fails and you lose everything,” Erin continued about the hardships they faced after the company went under. “There were just extra things that he still was managing, that was like his department, that he just hadn’t cleared up. And he just kept rolling it over.”
Abe and Erin’s accessory brand didn’t last, but their working relationship did. The pair currently operates their “artisanal mezcal” company, Mezcalum, together.

In case Erin’s pregnancy reveal wasn’t enough to confirm that the spouses are back to being in a good place, the RHONY cast member chatted exclusively with BravoTV.com after Season 15 finished filming.
“We are good. We are solid,” she told us about the status of her marriage. “We, god willing, will always be.”
Erin has forgiven Abe, but she won’t soon be forgetting the bitcoin drama. “He better not make any financial decisions without me, I can tell you that much. …” she joked.
