Emily Simpson has a sweet update on the newest member of her family.
The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member and her husband, Shane Simpson, took in a foster dog back in September 2024. Their son, Keller Simpson, named the new addition Cindi.
The attorney revealed how Cindi’s been adjusting to life with the Simpson family — which also includes her daughter, Annabelle Simpson, and her other son, Luke Simpson (plus Shane’s two older daughters from his first marriage) — in a series of Instagram Stories shared on February 13.
She first shared a video on Cindi’s “progress,” which was her laying in bed with Emily and the Simpson family’s other dog, Togo. Emily later posted another video of Cindi relaxing in the same position.
“I think she feels safe and loved for the first time in her life,” Emily wrote alongside the second post.

All the details on Emily Simpson’s foster dog, Cindi
On September 21, the Ohio native introduced her followers to Cindi for the first time.
“We just adopted her from the Kern county animal shelter. She’s only about a year old but she was abandoned at the shelter by her previous family,” Emily began in the caption of her Instagram post, which was a photo of her cozying up to her new addition. “I have no idea of her breed but she’s sweet, great with the kids and is finally warming up to Shane. He brings her In-N-Out puppy patties to gain her trust…”
Emily Simpson has another dog named Togo
On the RHOC Season 17 premiere, which aired in June 2023, Emily revealed that she had just adopted a five-month-old dog named Togo.
When the cameras picked up, Emily was in the midst of getting Togo trained enough to be around other people, but she already felt very comfortable with having the pup in her home.
As she revealed in an interview on the episode, she likes to share everything with her pets.
“I’ve always heard that a dog’s mouth is much cleaner than a human’s mouth, so I share spoons, forks, plates [with my dogs],” she explained.
With Cindi’s new presence in the house, Emily now has another pet to share with.
In addition to getting Cindi, Emily has made another major change in her life. Take a look at Emily’s recent jaw-dropping haircut here.
