Spencer Pratt Blasts Andy Cohen: “I’d Rather Sit in My Burned House Rubble” Than Join RHOBH or WWHL

Spencer Pratt is making it clear that when it comes to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills or Watch What Happens Live, his family will not be making an appearance anytime soon. In a series of sharp posts on X (formerly Twitter), Spencer Pratt shut down fan suggestions that his wife, Heidi Montag, should join RHOBH or appear on Andy Cohen’s late-night show. His reasoning? A long-standing grudge with Andy Cohen, rooted in a 2011 Watch What Happens Live episode where the host infamously slammed Montag.

The drama began when a fan on X suggested that Heidi join the RHOBH cast, to which Spencer quickly responded, “No thanks.” But it didn’t stop there. When another fan asked if the couple would consider appearing on Watch What Happens Live, Pratt had a cutting reply: “The person who said he would rather scratch his eyes out than [sic] watch my wife … hard pass.”

When one fan pointed out that the couple was getting a second chance with fans after facing some tough years, including losing their home in the Pacific Palisades fire, Pratt didn’t hold back. “Lol yah so lucky the guy that bashes my wife gonna be so lucky to sit with him,” he wrote. “Rather sit in my burned house rubble.”

For those unfamiliar with the history between Spencer and Andy Cohen, the tension dates back over a decade. The animosity stems from a 2011 appearance by Spencer and Heidi on Watch What Happens Live. During the show, Cohen made harsh remarks about Heidi, calling her “trash” and even saying, “I would sooner stab knives into my own eyes than see her on this network.” To say it was a moment that left a lasting impact on Spencer would be an understatement.

Andy Cohen later issued an apology for his over-the-top comments, explaining to People, “There had been so many rumors going on about the Housewives last week, I think I was at the tipping point, basically. I guess I got a little carried away.”

But Spencer clearly hasn’t forgotten—and neither has Heidi. In another post, Pratt made it clear how he feels about the idea of making nice with Cohen. “Rather sit in my burned house rubble,” he quipped, reinforcing his stance that a reconciliation isn’t on the horizon.

As for Andy Cohen’s perspective on Heidi joining the Real Housewives franchise, the Watch What Happens Live host has previously said he thought it would be “weird” for her to join, given her associations with The Hills and other projects. In a 2019 interview on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, Cohen explained, “They’re so identified, not only with another show but with another network. So, it’s like, ‘But wait a minute, you are supposed to be on Jersey Shore.’”

But despite his apology and explanation, Spencer doesn’t appear to be ready to forgive or forget. His rejection of any future appearances with Cohen is as definitive as it is fiery.
