Denise Richards Initially Thought Lisa Rinna Was Joking About That Shocking RHOBH Secret

Denise Richards left The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after Season 10. After two seasons, she exited when her co-stars insinuated that she was lying about her relationship with Brandi Glanville. And her real-life friendship with Lisa Rinna was left in ruins.

According to The Daily Dish, Denise shared some behind-the-scenes RHOBH memories with host and Bravo producer Alex Baskin in a preview of Bravo’s Hot Mic podcast. During the preview of Season 3, Episode 9 of the podcast, Denise revealed that she was “nervous” about joining the cast for the Season 9 Bahamas trip. However, Denise’s idea of an unscripted show and the reality (pun intended) were totally different.

“One of my favorite small stories from that trip is, I remember at one point, you had asked the crew – we’re in the middle of filming – and you’re like, ‘Where’s craft services?’” Alex said.

“Lisa Rinna told me. I’m like, ‘What do you mean?’” Denise explained. “I thought she was joking. I’m like, ‘There has to be some f*cking craft service around here somewhere.’” She added, “I almost sh*t the bed.”

Denise continued, “Lisa knows me; I’m a grazer. I always have snacks. And she goes, ‘When Denise is around, we need to make sure there’s snacks.’” No one wants a hangry Denise.

“I raided that f*cking minibar the next outing when we had to go out on a boat. I’m like, ‘I’m gonna take every pretzel and potato chip here,’” Denise stated.

Of course, Denise also had to get used to dressing up. When she first arrived to film, she was sporting jeans and a Guns N’ Roses shirt. While the other ladies dressed to the nines during the Bahamas trip, Denise was refreshingly casual.

“I remember that meeting, and then when I went to The Bahamas,” Denise stated, “even though I watched the show, I didn’t realize until being on it what was all involved with the outfits and all that sh*t. And I’m like, ‘OK, we’re going to The Bahamas.’”

Well, Denise and Lisa’s friendship never recovered after Season 10’s fireworks. However, Denise has a new show about her family coming to Bravo.

The docuseries, titled Denise Richards & Her Wild Things, will center on Denise, her three daughters, and her hubby, Aaron Phypers.

Of course, Denise previously had her own reality show in 2008 called Denise Richards: It’s Complicated. It followed her life post-divorce from Charlie Sheen as she raised her two daughters.
