Andy Cohen Criticizes Bethenny Frankel’s Reality Show Repercussions

Andy Cohen slams Bethenny Frankel’s “reality reckoning” as a “sustained attack.” Find out what else the Watch What Happens Live host has to say!

In a new interview with Vulture published Monday, the Bravo head honcho admitted that he was surprised by Bethenny Frankel’s reality reckoning, which came about in the summer of 2023 amid the actor’s strike in Hollywood.

“There was a lot of noise. And I was definitely sad about it,” Andy Cohen confessed.

The Real Housewives of New York OG has claimed that she “generated millions and millions of dollars in advertising and online impressions being on reality TV and [has] never made a single residual.”

“So, either I’m missing something or we’re getting screwed too,” she said on Instagram in July 2023.

The Skinnygirl mogul also claimed she only received $7,250 for her first season of RHONY in 2008. However, by the time Bethenny left RHONY in 2019, she was making $1 million a season.

While talking with Vulture, Andy said he is “waiting” for the thing that will finally cancel him after being hit with a myriad of accusations by former Bravo stars.

“Sometimes at night I’ll be in bed and I’ll think, ‘Huh, did I say something?’” the 55-year-old admitted. “I’m always waiting for the thing that’s going to make it all fall down.”

“You have to be smart about what you say because there’s no nuance anymore,” he told the outlet. “People are just waiting to be outraged by every little thing.”

In recent months, numerous Housewives have come out swinging against Andy Cohen. Former RHONY star Leah McSweeney accused Bravo and Andy of taking advantage of her alcohol addiction to boost ratings. She also alleges that Andy snorts cocaine with his favorite Housewives – a claim the father of two has denied.

Brandi Glanville also accused Andy of sexual harassment, claiming that the WWHL host invited her to watch him and Below Deck’s Kate Chastain have sex, which the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum called an “extraordinary abuse of power.”

Andy Cohen insisted the situation with Brandi was a joke that she was in on but nevertheless apologized for making her uncomfortable.

In May, Bravo announced they were renewing Andy’s late-night talk show, WWHL, for another season. The network also announced that he has been cleared of any wrongdoing in the allegations made by Brandi and Leah following an “outside investigation.”
