Nobody would be a fan of a friend working with their ex-fiancé. But in the world of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, all is fair in love and war. Even though Porsha Williams is no longer with Dennis McKinley, there is still a connection between the two. Drew Sidora should have known better than to team up with the hot dog king. Season 16 will show Drew forming a relationship with Dennis, which is likely to cause sparks. Here’s what we know.
Drew Sidora puts her singing career first
During the Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 trailer, Drew openly talks about her work relationship with Dennis. However, the conversation with Kenya Moore leaves viewers with more questions than answers. Drew speaks about working on her new album, but the beauty queen interjects and asks how Porsha feels about it. Drew claims that Porsha was encouraging and cool with it. “She was just like, ‘Girl, yeah!’” Drew then calls Dennis her “angel on Earth” because he got her out of bed to music sessions, and without him, she would’ve been sitting crying.
Fans will see Drew going through her divorce from Ralph Pittman. And the process hasn’t been a walk in the park. After nine years together, Drew filed the paperwork in February 2023. As the conversation with Kenya continues, Drew claims that Dennis spoke with Porsha and even was given her blessing to work with Drew. However, from Porsha’s reaction, that doesn’t seem to have been the case. Word on the curb is there are rumors of romance/potential dating on the streets, but nothing has ever been confirmed.
Dennis MicKinley and Drew Sidora have big news
Who knew Dennis even had “executive producer” on his resume? He is a man of many trades, including being the mastermind behind Detroit Equities. He also still runs his hotdog company and is working on an app called MusixXchange that is meant to help support crowdfunding. Recently, Dennis helped write and produce Drew’s single, I Did It To Me. Drew took to her Instagram to thank Porsha’s ex. She wrote, “Appreciate you BRO for giving me this outlet and this opportunity to tell my story AND through the most incredible music!”. She added, “Grateful for your belief in me and pushing me, even when I got scared and fearful to do so. PLEASE KNOW…we’ve been working so incredibly hard and fighting blood, sweat, and tears to make great music and tell my story to share with y’all….”
In November, the duo announced they had big news. Drew wrote, “We’re gonna raise a toast. Cheers. OK? Big news coming. If you don’t know, now you know. My album is dropping [December 12].” With Dennis by her side, as she wore tight jeans and top, Drew added, “It’s been a year in the making, OK? So when y’all see the finished product, I don’t want y’all to think, oh we just woke up and it just happened. No, it’s been a lot of blood, a lot of sweat, a lot of tears. So we’re celebrating.”
Porsha Williams is less than happy with Dennis McKinley
Drew and Dennis’s body language was flirty. And maybe it was just an innocent work relationship. But Porsha isn’t buying it. As fans know, the exes had issues with infidelity. Dennis cheated on Porsha while she was pregnant. Porsha and Dennis seem to be having a serious conversation during the Real Housewives of Atlanta teaser. The mother of one is grilling Dennis about his work relationship. The Original Hot Dog Factory owner asks, “You think I’m banging Drew?” To which she replies, “Yes or no?” The scene ends before Dennis can deliver an answer.
Right now, there is no evidence to suggest that Dennis and Drew have an intimate relationship. It looks like the long nights in the recording studio led to a sibling relationship filled with trust and respect. However, fans are not fully convinced. Hopefully, Season 16 will show receipts regarding their friendship. If nothing else, Porsha will make it her mission to get a straight answer.
