Bozoma Saint John Spills on Her Instant Bond with Dorit Kemsley in RHOBH

Bozoma Saint John was the sole newcomer on Season 14 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and she’s developed a quick friendship with Dorit Kemsley.

The new season, which debuted on Bravo back in November, kicked off with Sutton Stracke’s Surrealism party, where Saint John, 48, met Kemsley, 48.

The marketing executive recently opened up in a new interview with People about how quickly that bond of friendship formed.

‘I was surprised by how quickly we bonded only because it’s hard to make friends as an adult,’ Saint John admitted.

‘In the work space, I haven’t been able to make friends because I’ve been in that top seat for a long time, yeah, and it is not always appropriate to make friends, you know?’ she continued.

She added the potential circle of friends, ‘becomes very small’ when you’re at the top, recalling how her situation as Netflix’s chief marketing officer made it tough to make friends.

‘At Netflix, it’s like there’s six other people, who are also the C [suite execs] in their area. And you know, that makes it difficult to make friends there,’ she admitted.

‘I think Dorit opening up to me immediately at that first event took me by surprise,’ Saint John continued.

‘But I was very open to it because I haven’t had the opportunity to really make friends as an adult,’ she reiterated.

This week’s episode will find Garcelle Beauvais accusing Bozoma of being ‘Dorit’s spokesperson’ when she isn’t around the other women.

‘Instead of focusing on not liking my relationship with Dorit, or feeling like, “Oh, I’m spending so much time with her,” why don’t you do it in the affirmative?’ she said.

‘Why don’t you tell me what’s going on in your life? Why don’t you come in and share with me? How about you ask me what’s going on in my life so I can share with you, and then that way you and I can become friends, right? That’s how it should be,’ she said.

Bozoma insisted ‘I don’t want to get to know Kyle (Richards) because she has conflict with Dorit. I want to know Kyle because of what she’s going through with Mau. I want to know Kyle because we have daughters who are the same age.’

‘I want to know Kyle because she’s about to be an empty nester and how she’s feeling and how she’s dealing with that. I want to know Kyle because she is one of a group of sisters, and Lord have mercy, that is not for the faint of heart. You know what I mean? I want to know Kyle for those reasons and not because she had conflict with Dorit,’ Boz said.

Back in January, Dorit shared a heartfelt post about spending time in New York City for Boz’s birthday… just after losing her home in the LA wildfires.

‘This year’s celebration was bittersweet, as she had just suffered the heartbreaking loss of the home she worked her entire life to build. Though Boz is one of the strongest and most resilient people I know, I could feel the weight of her broken heart, which left me deeply sad,’ Kemsley said.

‘In true Boz fashion, her incredible friends—many of whom she has known for decades, some since childhood—rallied together to throw her a small, intimate gathering. It was a beautiful testament to the profound impact she’s had on so many lives,’ Kemsley continued.

‘Boz is someone I both admire and adore. I met her during one of the most challenging times in my life, and her friendship quickly became a bright light that helped me through. She is beautiful, intelligent, genuine, caring, kind, generous, extraordinary, fearless, and simply fabulous. It was an honor to celebrate her, even in the midst of her trials. She deserves all the love and joy in the world, and I feel so lucky to call her my friend,’ she concluded.
