RHONY Star Sends Heartfelt Wishes to Brynn Whitfield for the Future

Erin Lichy said she’s not sure how things would work if Brynn Whitfield returns to the “Real Housewives of New York City” next season, but she wishes her nothing but the best.

During a January 2025 appearance on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, Lichy admitted it would be difficult to move forward with Whitfield following the shocking season 15 finale drama.

“I think it would be really hard for me to trust anything,” Lichy told podcast host Amanda Hirsch. “How do you overlook something like the finale? You just feel as though, ‘Well, if I do something to you, you’re going to find something retaliatory that is really extreme, and I don’t know what that is and it could be something.’ Think about the level of the accusation to Ubah and how far-fetched it was … It creates concern.”

Whitfield was at the center of a “very dark” season 15 finale fight with co-star Ubah Hassan, in which she accused Hassan of using her past history of sexual assault against her. Hassan denied knowing about Whitfield’s past.

“I really truly from the bottom of my heart wish Brynn the best,” Lichy added. “I really, really do. She’s got qualities that are incredible and she’s really intelligent and she’s very, like, charismatic and it’s a shame for someone like with all these talents to not go far in life. She could do so much. She’s incredible in a lot of ways but she’s got to own up to the things that she does to people.”

“It does pull at my heartstrings,” Lichy added. “She’s not a bad person, but I think I just need time.”

No One on the RHONY Cast is Talking to Whitfield

On the podcast, Lichy also noted that no one else on the cast is talking to Whitfield.

“I don’t think anyone… [Jessel Taank] is very upset with her, and you’ll see that come out at the reunion,” Erin teased.

Co-star Jenna Lyons also confirmed that the cast have distanced themselves from Whitfield in the aftermath of the finale and subsequent reunion.

In January 2025, Lyons appeared on “Watch What Happens Live” and was asked if the cast, and Hassan in particular, had been in touch with Whitfield since the reunion taping. “I think that’s a no and no,” she said.

Lyons noted that Whitields actions “change[d] the game.” “That’s not what we’re here to do,” she said. “That’s not what the show’s about, that’s not what we’re about. And I think we were all feeling a little protective and scared.”

In an interview with Rolling Stone on January 22, Whitfield admitted it would take time to repair her RHONY relationships, but that she felt like she was in a good place with some of her co-stars. “I’m always cool with Jenna and Raquel [Chevremont],” she told the outlet. “Erin feels like a sister.”

Bravo Has Issued a Casting call For RHONY Season 16

There has been no word on the status of the RHONY cast going foward. Season 15 also included Sai De Silva and Rebecca Minkoff last season.

But there has been some activity on the backend. In late January, a casting announcement posted on Shed Media’s Instagram page teased the potential of newcomers for season 16

“Now casting The Real Housewives of New York City,” a post on the company’s Instagram page read. It was captioned with, “It’s that time…🍎come and get your apple.”
