Dorit Kemsley revealed the heartbreaking way one of her children found out about her separation from estranged husband Paul ‘PK’ Kemsley on Tuesday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Dorit, 48, and PK, 57, who’ve been staples on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, announced their separation in May 2024 after nearly 10 years of marriage.
The couple, who share two kids — son Jagger, 10, and daughter Phoenix, eight — said they were taking time apart to ‘reevaluate their relationship,’ while keeping their kids as the main priority.
On the new episode, titled Beachy Keen, Dorit revealed that Jagger found out about the separation from social media.
The reality TV star told her fellow cast mates Jagger had asked if she was getting a divorce.
‘Jagger, this morning, we were walking the dogs, and then he says, “Oh, can I talk to you, Mommy?” I said, “Sure.” So, he’s like, “Are you and Daddy divorced?” I said, “No, and what makes you ask that?” And he says, “Well, did you post something on Instagram?”‘

The episode then flashed the Instagram note Dorit shared about her separation.
‘We as a couple have been subject to a lot of speculation about our marriage. We have had our struggles over the last few years and continue to work through them as two people who love each other and share two amazing children together,’ the note read.
‘To safe guard our deep friendship and maintain a harmonious environment for our children we have made the mutual and difficult decision to take some time apart and reevaluate our relationship while we prioritize our children.’
‘We appreciate your love and support while we continue to do the work necessary throughout this journey. With love, Dorit and PK.’
Her fellow Housewives asked if she ‘just died’ or ‘start running’ after hearing her son’s questions.
However, the doting mom explained: ‘”In marriages, when you’re married for a long time, you can have your ups and downs. Sometimes you need a little time apart.” And he said, “But you and Daddy, you’re always gonna be friends, right? You’re always gonna be best friends.”‘
‘And I was like, “Oh, well I sure hope so,”‘ Dorit told her group of gal pals.
Dorit had the heart-to-heart with Kyle Richards, Erika Girardi, Sutton Stracke, Jennifer Tilly, and Bozoma ‘Boz’ Saint John at Boz’s house, before they headed to Garcelle Beauvais’ beach home.
Sutton then interrupted, stating they have to get going, as Dorit called her a ‘strange pumpkin’ and Kyle agreed that she had bad timing.

Later on at the beach party Kyle and Dorit mended fences following their feud.
Richards and Kemsley made up after a dramatic rift that erupted when Kyle was accused of texting PK.
Kyle and her estranged husband Mauricio Umansky sent shockwaves through fans with their split in the summer of 2023 after 27 years of marriage.
Just months later, in May 2024, Dorit and PK announced their separation.
Earlier in Season 14, Richards, 56, revealed that PK does text her from time to time, though she consistently insisted that it was only ‘jokes and memes.’
Kyle’s fellow casemates believed she and PK were texting about more than just ‘jokes and memes.’
In one text to PK that Kyle shared with them, she had written, ‘I know you have a lot of friends, but I am also one and here if you need me. I’ve never repeated anything you have shared with me and never would.’
Last week’s episode – which featured a surprise cameo by singer Kesha – ended with a blowout fight between Kyle and Dorit where they were so angry they were nearly lunging at each other.
However on the new episode, Dorit and Kyle had a heart-to-heart at the beach, as they discussed the texts and their friendship.
‘First and foremost, did you consider us good friends?’ Dorit asked.
‘Yes,’ Kyle replied.
‘Do you want to salvage our friendship?’
‘I do. Do you?’ Kyle asked.
‘Very much,’ Dorit replied, adding, ‘You know, your friendship has always meant a lot to me. I want to salvage this. When you wrote to him and you said, “You know I’ve never repeated anything that you said.” I know, I know that you were making him feel like he can talk to you, and you’re not gonna repeat it to me. It’s okay.’

Kyle cut in, ‘But hold on, you can’t say I know that you were. I’m sending this text and that was my way of saying I’m a trustworthy person. I don’t repeat things. And I don’t. You know me, Dorit. And this group, all these years, anything anyone has confided in me, I’ve never repeated. That was just my way of saying I’m a safe space if you need. I know he’s not gonna reach out to me if he needed to. He’s got a million friends.’
‘Regardless, you writing that to him, Kyle, in a separation, when two people are separated, and this is the, this is the point. Is that… Are you my friend? Is your loyalty with me? Or are you his friend and your loyalty is with him? Because if you’re my friend, in our separation and your loyalty’s with me, then even if you’re writing that and you’re saying, “I’ll never repeat it,” I absolutely damn well think and expect you to share information that would be helpful to me.’
‘I think it’s unrealistic for Kyle to be friends with me and PK, given our circumstance. Be a girlfriend. Show some loyalty. Be a girl’s girl. You know that girl’s girl that you always talk about being? Show me,’ Dorit told the camera.
Kyle said: ‘Obviously in writing that, I wasn’t thinking about choosing sides, you know, at that state of your relationship. I didn’t know anything. And he’s never said anything bad about you, and I certainly would never talk badly about you to PK in one million years. I hope you know that.’
Dorit replied: ‘This comes back to, if we’re friends, Kyle… Just like what you would expect from me, I want you to also give me the same respect.’
‘What I would like to see is that we get to a place where we’re able to have conversations and feel comfortable telling one another how we feel.’
Kyle then told the camera: ‘I really didn’t think it was going to be difficult to maintain a friendship between both Dorit and PK, because anytime Dorit and I have gone through a hard time in the past, PK and I have always maintained our friendship. But if that’s what she needs, I’m fine with that.’
‘I feel bad about PK because he actually has been a good friend, but I still understand, and I do believe that women have to stick together. We’ll be better together than going through this while we’re going through all the other stuff, too. So, I’m glad we finally got to have our, had our talk.’

‘This is insane. It’s literally insane. I’ve had my marriage questioned, my personal life questioned. Now, my, my character, my integrity. Now you can f*****g all f**k off. Like, that’s where I draw the line.’
‘All I know is I’m gonna say what I have to say to Dorit, and I’m not gonna continue to discuss this and go down this situation anymore. And if she wants to move forward, great. And if she’s gonna keep doing this, then I’m going to disengage from her and that’s it, but I’m not gonna talk about it anymore. I’m not going to do it.’
‘I will leave you with this, if you two come to some resolution, that’s between y’all. All of us weighing in is bullsh**t,’ Erika shared.
At another point Dorit met with new housewife Boz at a restaurant as they spoke about the situation.
Dorit said: ‘I have been feeling like I’ve been holding up the walls. And I’ve been feeling like, okay, I’m strong enough and I can fight back. I’m gonna fight back. And by the way, I am. I’m strong. But there’s only so much f*****g fighting you can do.’
‘Okay, now I don’t wanna bring up the Kyle thing, but I do. ‘Cause there’s something that keeps being said – and I’m confused about it,’ Boz asked Dorit.

Boz said, ‘Kyle continues to lie. She’s lying about the depth of her relationship with PK and what she’s saying about Dorit. She’s clearly lying about the depth of her knowledge about what’s going on in PK and Dorit’s marriage. If Kyle is afraid of looking bad, she’s looking worse now’
‘You said that you, she was one of the first people you told. And then she says, she keeps saying that she didn’t know anything.’
‘There was a point in time, this is a year and a half ago, where I was in a really bad time and moment with PK. And there was a select few people that I trusted enough to just open up to. And Kyle was one of them. My husband, the one that you depend on the most, was spending a lot of time in London. I started to feel like PK and I weren’t connected. For the first time ever, I thought, is it possible that, like, PK and I would not make it? I’ve had those thoughts. I think that’s normal to have those thoughts. So, she was well aware.’
Boz said, ‘Kyle continues to lie. She’s lying about the depth of her relationship with PK and what she’s saying about Dorit. She’s clearly lying about the depth of her knowledge about what’s going on in PK and Dorit’s marriage. If Kyle is afraid of looking bad, she’s looking worse now.’
‘You didn’t say like, hey, I think there’s gonna be a separation or…?’ Boz asked Dorit.
‘I didn’t know that there was gonna be a separation until the day that PK said, “I think we should take some time apart.”‘
‘The day PK and I decided to separate, it was him, his sponsor, and myself in our backyard. And his sponsor was doing the talking. His sponsor’s the one who suggested that we take some time apart and separate. I was so taken aback, I didn’t ask whether this was PK’s idea or whether the sponsor actually thought it was a good idea and PK was just going along with it. I still don’t know.’
‘You know, I’ve always been very protective of PK. When things were not good between us, I never wanted my parents to think badly of him. So, I went through it alone. And that was for a good chunk of time.’
‘I’ve spent all these years defending you, protecting you, pretending for you. And now you wanna tell me that we should take some time apart? Where? What are you talkin’ ’bout? Gimme back those years. Gimme back those years. Who the f**k Have I been married to?’ she questioned.

‘No, I wanted to… First of all, I wanted to apologize for how I left on Friday. I wanted to say… what I said and how I feel, I stand by. However, um, how I went about it and how I acted, I’m… I feel very badly about, so I wanted to apologize for that.’
However Sutton was still confused: ‘I got confused in all the words why you were apologizing, so I just want to be very clear, why you felt like you needed to apologize.’
‘Because I don’t like the way. Is it clear what I’m saying? That I felt bad about the way I left. And that I yelled at everybody, and that I left… I thought, oh my God, everyone’s coming at me. I felt like I’m having to defend my character when I know that I didn’t do anything wrong. I had no ill intentions with that text.’
‘That is not somebody I want to be. That is not who I am, and that is not somebody I’m proud to be. So, I wish I had been calm, cool, and collected, and said you know what? You guys are actually hurting my feelings right now. I know I had no bad intentions with this text. And I felt like I was being accused of something I wasn’t doing.’
‘You felt very overwhelmed and very pushed,’ Erika summed it up.
‘I felt very overwhelmed and I felt like I had no friend in the group.’

Sutton told the camera: ‘I think Kyle was afraid that this going to be brought up at Garcelle’s beach house and she wants to know that she has allies. But I will tell you this, Erika might be a minion, but Garcelle and Sutton, we are not minions’
‘I will say this, I think we were all very surprised at your reaction. Because it was a lot of reaction. And I was like, I feel disappointed in Kyle that she’s leaving this group,’ Sutton said.
‘It wasn’t good for my mental health, to be honest,’ Kyle admitted.
Garcelle later summed up the dinner meeting: ‘My takeaway from this dinner is Kyle wanted to smooth things over. She knew me, Erika, and Sutton would probably be easier to smooth things over in a smaller group than if she had Dorit or Boz or anybody else here.’
Meanwhile Sutton told the camera: ‘I think Kyle was afraid that this going to be brought up at Garcelle’s beach house and she wants to know that she has allies. But I will tell you this, Erika might be a minion, but Garcelle and Sutton, we are not minions.’
