Adding Alexis Bellino to the RHOC cast was a surefire move to amp up the drama this season. With Alexis dating Shannon Beador’s ex, John Janssen, it wasn’t a question of whether there would be tension between the ladies, but more a case of how much. As Shannon returned as a full-time cast member, Alexis hopped back onto the show as a guest. And, things haven’t gone smoothly, to say the least.
Throwing it back to 2009 and Alexis was just starting out on The Real Housewives of Orange County. The reality TV star was married to Jim Bellino at the time, and she appeared on the show alongside him and their three kids. Now, life looks different for Alexis. Her kids are grown up, and she’s dating Johnny J. Their romance has caused quite the drama since they announced their relationship, with Teresa Giudice even piping up to say she “feels sorry for Shannon Beador.”

Alexis Bellino posts about ‘the truth’
In an Instagram post that has been ‘liked’ by Tamra Judge, Alexis shares a lengthy message with her fans.
As RHOC season 18 episodes air this September, Alexis takes a moment to “let everyone know what they’re seeing in her career is not real.”
She alleges she’s been “painted in a bad light” and “will take one for the team to get ratings.”
However, the Bravo star adds how she “will live in truth,” and expose the “true” Alexis: “I just want to let everyone know that what you’re seeing in my career is not real. It’s not the truth. There has been so much left out intentionally to paint me in a bad light. It’s ok. I’ll take one for the team to get ratings for this business, but I will live in truth…
“And I will bring the truth. Whether I have to do it here on my Instagram page or if this career I chose decides to bring the truth out. Either way, it WILL come out. And you will also see the true Alexis. Because what you’re seeing on your TV right now is NOT me. I love you all, and I do not hate you for hating me. Because I would hate me too if I were you. But just hang tight, I’ll be speaking the truth after every episode of what has been left out intentionally to paint me as someone I don’t even know. It will actually intrigue you all. “

Alexis’ says ‘recaps’ are coming
In a bid to show “the real her” Alexis states she’s going to begin posting “live recaps” of RHOC episodes.
Hoping to diminish the way she’s been represented on the show so far, Alexis tells her followers to “hang tight,” and wait to see her “truth” in her recaps.
She writes: “Live recaps of the truth starting from episode 1 coming asap on my IG!! And btw thank you to my glam squad for this pic.”
Alexis has been at the center of a lot of the drama on RHOC season 18. The mom of three got engaged to John back in August, so it’s clear to see their relationship is serious.
However, it hasn’t made things any easier for herself and Shannon as they film together this season.
Speaking to ET back in August, Alexis said some parts of the show were “hard to film,” and added how Shannon was “always talking about John.”
