As the Premier League season races toward its thrilling conclusion, Liverpool FC prepares to host an exhilarating celebration of football, culture, and community—the Red Weekender. This landmark event promises to be a joyous gathering for fans, featuring an impressive lineup of celebrities and events that will spotlight the rich tapestry of Liverpool's footballing heritage.

The Red Weekender, running from May 23 to May 25 at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool, is set to become a pivotal moment for Liverpool supporters. Organised by the dynamic duo of Mike Deane and Daniel Nicolson, the festival combines live music, special guest appearances, and family-friendly activities, all while commemorating Liverpool's glorious past.

Fans will have the chance to relive one of the most iconic moments in Liverpool’s history as the festival kicks off with a special event celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Reds' miraculous 2005 Champions League victory over AC Milan. Legendary manager Rafa Benítez, who masterminded that unforgettable comeback, will share his memories of that remarkable night. “To be back in Liverpool on the 20th anniversary of that magical night in Istanbul… will be so special,” Benítez noted, excitedly anticipating his involvement.

Saturday promises to be just as thrilling, featuring Redmen TV's biggest-ever live show, where fans can engage with a roster of iconic personalities including Dalglish and TV legend Les Dennis. The day will be underscored by performances from local music legends like The Zutons and the Raggamuffins, who will keep spirits high with beloved Liverpool anthems.

As fans gather to celebrate a potential Premier League title, the atmosphere is set to be electric. Nicolson stressed the importance of fan involvement, stating, “We have the richest of supporter cultures and a culture which rewards those that put in the hard yards.” Their commitment to creating a fan-led environment, as seen in previous events, promises an authentic celebration steeped in community spirit.

The festival will culminate on Sunday, when Jamie Webster, a beloved figure among Liverpool fans, will headline a family-focused event, encouraging the next generation of supporters to engage with the club's legacy.
