Heather Gay of RHOSLC Reveals Why She Feels ‘Stuck’ Despite Ozempic Weight Loss

Heather Gay‘s weight loss journey hasn’t exactly been what she’d hoped it would be.

After dropping more than 20 pounds, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star revealed she still feels criticized for using an Ozempic-like semaglutide medication to slim down over the last year and a half.

“I’ve been shamed for just about everything and anything,” the 50-year-old exclusively told E! News. “I got shamed for being overweight and I got shamed for being on medication. So, you can’t win.”

However, Heather clapped back at fans for disparaging her choice to get heathier with the help of the injectable, which curbs appetites.

“I’m still the same,” she added. “I’m feel the same. I feel like I liked myself then, I like myself now. It’s just Ozempic became available and it worked for me.”

This isn’t the first time Heather has addressed critics saying she “sold out” by jumping on the Ozempic bandwagon.

“I’ve given up the banner of relatable, accept yourself, love yourself,” the Bad Mormon author told ABC News in March. “It’s disappointing and sad to know that body positivity was all a big lie, because it’s better to not be overweight.”

Heather explained she felt “pressure” to lose weight and “didn’t want to show up at another party and see all of my friends 20 pounds thinner and just be resentful.”

And the reality star definitely noticed others reacting to her new appearance.

“I was being valued by my castmates, by the public, in a way that I had never been valued before,” Heather shared, “and that felt, to me, sad.”
