Before Taylor Frankie Paul became one of the popular stars of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, she almost was a Real Housewife! And you will be absolutely shocked by the reason Bravo did not cast her!
During an appearance on the Scheananigans podcast on Friday, the social media personality revealed she interviewed for The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City before the Hulu show came around. Obviously, she did not join the ranks of Jen Shah, Heather Gay, Mary Cosby, Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose, and others on the show. And the reason Taylor was not hired? She was too boring! We are not kidding! The reality star explained to host Scheana Shay:
“I actually did get interviewed for the [The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City]. I had an interview I think a few months prior [to The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives], maybe a little longer. And basically … a little birdie told me, ‘You didn’t have enough drama in your life.’”
What! How could they say that about Taylor? First of all, the content creator blew up the #MomTok community on TikTok by revealing she and other Mormon mommas were “soft swinging.” The whole reason she and her husband, Tate Paul, divorced is because she took things too far with one of the husbands involved in the swinging arrangement and slept with him! And then don’t get us started on her messy relationship with Dakota Mortensen following the sex scandal!
Her life is FULL of drama! She is practically a magnet for it! And yet Bravo thought she was boring! Wild! And we are not the only ones who are stunned by the notion! Scheana and Taylor’s co-star Mayci Neeley, who also was on the podcast episode, laughed at the idea. However, there is a big reason the network was not interested in the television personality. Taylor never shared any details about her being a swinger! She admitted:
“I was obviously not admitting to what we were up to.”
Ahhh! That explains it!
It is a shame Taylor was not on the RHOSLC. We would have loved to see what drama she stirred up with the ladies!
