Sonja Morgan and Josh Flagg’s Unfiltered Friendship: A Hilarious Peek into Their True Bond

When it comes to maintaining a strong friendship, Sonja Morgan and Josh Flagg prove that a shared sense of humor is key.

On Tuesday, September 10, The Real Housewives of New York City alum shed more light on her hilarious dynamic with the Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles agent. Sonja took to Instagram to share a voicemail she received from Josh earlier this month, just weeks after he celebrated his birthday. And although the message wasn’t exactly sweet, at least not in a conventional way, it undoubtedly drew some few laughs among their fans.

“Call me f-ck face…” the voicemail transcript read.

Sonja didn’t provide any more details about the September 5 call but it was clear she was amused.

“True intimacy,” she captioned the Instagram Story, which Josh reshared several hours later.

The post further underscored just how close and comfortable the Bravo besties have become over the years. As you might recall, Josh invited Sonja to his 2017 wedding, stayed at her former NYC townhouse, and hosted her numerous times at his Los Angeles-area home. In 2021, Josh shared a peek at Sonja’s West Coast visit and boldly declared her “the worst houseguest in history.”

“I’m [literally] going to kill her and we are only 18 hours in,” he said on Instagram after revealing Sonja had left the bathtub running all night. “The weekend from hell… She came to stay with me for a few nights and stayed for a month.”

However, Josh obviously couldn’t stay mad at the former RHONY ’Wife, as proven in his 2021 appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

“What do you think the biggest misconception about your pal Sonja Morgan is?” host Andy Cohen asked the MDLLA agent.

“I mean, she’s honestly extremely smart, and she’s extremely intuitive, and she knows exactly what she’s doing,” Josh replied, adding he had witnessed Sonja “party ’til 4” in the morning and then take “a business meeting in her pearls” the next day.

How did Josh and Sonja meet?

The friends spoke about their friendship in a 2021 sit-down for Josh’s YouTube channel, confirming they met at a Bravo event shortly after Sonja joined RHONY in 2010.

“We met a long time ago… We met right away,” Sonja recalled. “You and I were eating lunch with the [event] crew; we didn’t want to be with all the celebs.”

“Yeah, we weren’t interested in them,” Josh said. “And then we fell in love.”
