RHOSLC: Meredith Marks Finds S5 Feud with Mary Cosby ‘Bizarre’ and ‘Forced’

Meredith Marks admits she is still “very confused” about her RHOSLC season 5 conflict with Mary Cosby, which she claims came out of “nowhere” and “for no real reason.”

It’s officially less than one week until the premiere of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 5. The trailer promises another season of petty drama and nasty behavior.

One of the more shocking revelations from the RHOSLC season 5 trailer is Mary Cosby‘s ongoing feud with her long-standing best friend, Meredith Marks.

It turns out fans aren’t the only ones scratching their heads about Meredith Marks and Mary Cosby’s friendship drama.

Meredith tells DECIDER she’s still “very confused” about what led to their conflict throughout season 5.

“It felt to me like she was just kind of coming at me out of nowhere for no real reason,” Meredith revealed. “It made me feel very used because I had been the only one who had been there for her during these years where she was not being asked back [to the show] and she was not asked to be there full-time.”

Meanwhile, Meredith tells Extra TV that Mary Cosby’s behavior towards her throughout season 5 felt “contrived” and “odd.”

Meredith feels that Mary was “picking a fight” with her to create drama and wonders if some of the other women were in her ear.

“I wish I could tell you what the conflict is over, but I can’t,” Meredith admitted. “I don’t understand it. The only thing I saw was that she brought up things from ages ago that we had already talked about.”

“So, I don’t really know what the problem is there. It is a bit unsettling for me because usually when there’s a problem, I like to understand what it is. Usually, when someone starts coming at me, there should be a reason for it, especially when I’ve been there for them for years,” she continued.

However, Meredith and Mary aren’t the only RHOSLC cast members at odds throughout season 5. Whitney Rose is once again butting heads with Lisa Barlow.

“I think that Whitney ends up getting herself in a lot of trouble because she brings light to things, under the guise of saying, ‘I’m bringing this to tell you.’ But in the meantime, [she’s] telling the rest of the world, too,” Meredith tells DECIDER, adding that some of the ladies start questioning Whitney’s “real intentions” and feel her pot-stirring antics are “somewhat intentional.”

She also teases that both Whitney and Lisa’s husbands get involved in their wives’ feud: “I’ve never seen either of them get all revved up like that. Like, not at all. So that right there is surprising. You know, it just was very out of character in general.”

Season 5 of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 18, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
