The trailer for season five of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City has been out for a while now. While many were initially skeptical of the upcoming season due to the lack of Monica Garcia, the preview has hushed much of the concern. Now, the ladies are sharing their confessional looks, but this has caused a bit of backlash after Mary Cosby‘s seemed to be heavily edited. This encouraged some fans to even post what seemed to be the original picture.
There has been quite a bit of talk about the upcoming season of RHOSLC. According to early reports, Mary allegedly used a slur to refer to Lisa Barlow‘s son. The trailer also teases all sorts of other drama. Andy Cohen has also said that this new season features a Housewives first.
Mary Cosby recently took to social media to share a photo of one of her confessional looks from the upcoming season of the show. However, as mentioned, the picture looks to be heavily edited to the point that some fans believe she looks more like Mia Thornton from Real Housewives of Potomac.
People in Mary’s comments called out the apparent use of some sort of photo editing app. One X user wrote, “Now Mary CHILL with the faceapp.”

There was also a ton of support for Mary in the comments. In addition to noticing the heavy editing, many people remarked on how excited they were that she’s once again a full-time Housewife and not a ‘friend of.’ Additionally, many people online noticed how much more involved she seemed in the trailer than she has been in the past on the show.
RHOSLC season five premieres on Bravo on September 18.
