RHOC Star Jen Pedranti Opens Up About Her Toughest Year Amidst $24k Debt Shocker

The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Jennifer Pedranti is laying all her cards on the table in an all-new podcast episode with a fellow Bravo star this August. Jen tells Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Melissa Gorga how she recently went through the “lowest year of her life.”

RHONJ’s Melissa invites Jen to sit down for a chat on her On Display podcast. The Real Housewives stars cover everything from Jen’s divorce, to how many kids she has, how she’s finding being a RHOC newbie, and her yoga studio during the episode.

Jen Pedranti’s ‘worst year of her life’

Appearing On Display with Melissa Gorga, Jen explains how her divorce “just finalized.”

The Real Housewives of Orange County star says how proceedings went on for “four years.”

She alleges: “My ex-husband sold our home, so that was another thing. I realized at the sale of our home, I wasn’t even on title. So, I tried to stop the sale of our home…”

Jen said her ex-husband “apologized” and the two “let the house go.” She and her ex-husband then decided to rent in the same neighborhood and “nested.”

The Bravo star opted for a home within “the price range I always paid.”

Jen adds: “Something happened with my ex-husband. I don’t know, he doesn’t communicate with me, and the landlord of the house started reaching out to me.”

She says she was later told she was “$24,000 behind in rent.”

The star explains the rent was due so she and her children had to leave the home: “I can’t keep accruing all this back rent, I don’t know who’s gonna pay it back.”

She adds: “To this day, I’m on a payment plan with the woman that we rented from. It’s been the lowest year of my life. But, I’ll tell you, I’ll never be there again.”

Jen’s message to other women

During Jen’s time of financial crisis, she tells Melissa: “Everybody was like, ‘Go get a job’.”

The stay-at-home mom and yoga studio owner adds: “I think people forget, when you’re like 40, I do have the studio… what else can I do?”

She continued to say how her loved ones supported her at the time: “Thank God for my family, I have a very close family.”

Reflecting on the tough situation, Jen adds how she’s more clued-up when it comes to money: “I’m so dialed now on what goes where.”

The RHOC star admires “women like Melissa,” and her co-star Emily Simpson, for their ability to stand on their own when it comes to finances and careers.

The two Real Housewives agree “the lesson” of her story is that women need to “be in the know” when it comes to their finances and outgoings.
