Emily Simpson celebrated the wedding of her husband Shane’s oldest daughter Shelby, shared footage from the ceremony, and addressed which kids are from his past marriage as castmates reacted.
The Real Housewives of Orange County star married Shane in 2009. Last season, Emily opened up about how her relationship with Shane has improved since her first season on the show, which suggested they were on the rocks.
“Shane’s oldest daughter, Shelby, @shelby.shireen got married last weekend and I’m excited to show you all some of the best moments!” wrote Emily in the caption of an August 25 Instagram post. “They were married in the LDS Temple in Newport in the morning followed by a family dinner and ring 💍 ceremony at my in-laws’ home.”

Emily revealed a video with clips of the ceremony, which took place on August 16. The family dinner was at an elegant outside table surrounded by flowers. In another caption, Emily shared that Shane “got choked up” when he gave his speech. The video showed him walking his daughter down the aisle and dancing with her at the reception.
Emily’s daughter Annabelle, a junior bridesmaid, also shared her “words of wisdom” in a speech to the wedding party. Emily’s twins Luke and Keller were ring bearers.
“So much fun, love, and memories shared in one beautiful day! My family from Ohio even came to the wedding,” she added in the post. “It was a perfect, sunny ☀️ gorgeous day of family and friends celebrating Evan and Shelby.”
“Also, just a breakdown because I know someone is going to ask: Shane has two older daughters from a previous marriage,” she added. “Chanel is 18 and just graduated from high school. Shelby is 23 and just graduated from BYU and just got married – Shane and I have Annabelle, Luke and Keller.”
Her friend Gina Kirschenheiter, who attended the wedding, shared five heart emojis in the comments.
Heather Dubrow added, “So beautiful and special!!!! Congratulations!”
