“Can’t do it forever”—Melissa Gorga on the Future of The Real Housewives of New Jersey

Melissa Gorga, who has been on The Real Housewives of New Jersey (RHONJ) for 14 years, hinted on August 22, in a podcast called Two T’s in a Pod, that her time on the show might be coming to an end.

RHONJ has been a mainstream show of Bravo’s reality TV lineup since its premiere in 2009. It gives viewers an exclusive peek into the lives, relationships, and drama of the wealthiest people in New Jersey.

During its 14 seasons, the show has had many cast changes and conflicts. One of the most notable is the ongoing fight between Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice, her sister-in-law.

“As long as you know she is there and that whole thing would come back, I wouldn’t find it as a loss, I also want to say, like, I’ve had a 14-year run … You can’t do it forever. You don’t go and be on a TV show for 50 [or] 20 years. I mean, I’ve been on for 14 years,” Melissa stated.

Melissa Gorga reflects on her journey in The Real Housewives of New Jersey

Melissa Gorga has been a massive part of The Real Housewives of New Jersey since the third season when she joined the cast. Over the years, Melissa has had many on-screen and off-screen issues. But now, after 14 years, she has been wondering if it’s time to move on.

Melissa recently talked about the rumors that there will be changes to the cast of the upcoming 15th season of RHONJ on Two T’s in a Pod. She said,

“I am prepared for anything at this point, obviously because of all the rumors that are out there.”

Melissa said that she is ready for whatever comes next, even if it means leaving the show that has been a big part of her life for over a decade. The feud is because of the years of misunderstandings, business dealing issues with their husbands, and Teresa’s comment of calling Melissa a ‘gold digger’ and accusing of her marrying Joe only for money.

Melissa Gorga’s possible future in The Real Housewives of New Jersey

Melissa said she wanted to stay in the RHONJ cast if Bravo decided to take the show in a direction that fit with her values. She said to the hosts of the podcast, Tamra Judge and Teddi Mellencamp,

“So, if Bravo decides to go that route and kind of, like, the darker route, then I need to say that is not a show that I want to be on anyway.”

With rumors of a possible cast change and the unresolved tension between Melissa and Teresa Giudice, it’s still not clear if the two will be able to get along on in the show.

Teresa has been an important character in many of the most memorable parts of the show, from her first appearance as Teresa’s sister-in-law to her many business ventures and family problems.

It remains unclear if Melissa Gorga will be back for season 15 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. There has been no official news from Bravo as of this writing.
