The Real Housewives of New York City alum Bethenny Frankel’s daughter Bryn Hoppy turned 14 recently, and she is already carving out a career for herself in the public eye.
Frankel welcomed Bryn Hoppy, her only daughter with ex-husband Jason Hoppy, on May 8, 2010. The couple split when Bryn Hoppy was two. Per E!, Frankel was awarded full legal custody of Bryn in 2020 and primary residential custody in 2021 after it was revealed that Bryn was suffering from “anxiety, hyperventilation and hives” and didn’t always want to go to her father, according to US media.
Since then, the mother-daughter duo has been thriving. Hoppy has featured on Frankel’s podcast Just B with Bethenny Frankel; they’ve also attended red-carpet events together, done trending dances on social media, gone on trips and more.

She is named after her late uncle

Per People, Bryn Hoppy was named after her father’s late brother Bryan, nicknamed Bryn. Bryan Hoppy died in a car accident nineteen years before Bryn was born. The former couple kept their newborn daughter’s name a secret until Hoppy’s parents met their grandchild in person for the first time. “Jason’s mum was hysterical, crying. They couldn’t believe we kept it secret”, she said.
Bryn Hoppy is a “minfluencer”
At 14, Hoppy is a “minfluencer” or mini influencer. She already has 59,000 Instagram followers, where she posts hauls – usually after going shopping with her mum – skincare content, food reviews, life updates, and get ready with me videos. She also enjoys hopping on trending songs.
Frankel is often featured on her daughter’s Instagram, whether that be in fun videos or wholesome appreciation posts on her birthday or mother’s day. Frankel’s former fiancé Paul Bernon, with whom Hoppy had a good relationship, also appears in some of her posts.
The minfluencer has even received PR packages from brands like DSW, AOA Studio, as seen on her profile. A lot of her posts feature the hashtag #minfluencer too.
She thinks her mum is funny but strict

Hoppy revealed on a recent episode of Just B with Bethenny Frankel that her favourite thing about her famous mum is that she is funny. However, her least favourite thing about the RHONY star is how she tells her to organise her room a certain way. “When you like come into a room that I’m in or whatever, and then you like point out everything … it’s really annoying,” she said.
Hoppy also doesn’t seem very fond of her mother’s strictness, which she rated 9 out of 10 on a strictness scale on her podcast. She brought up her mother’s rules about not walking around in New York City alone.
She wants to be an actor

When asked what she wants to be when she grows up, Hoppy said on her mum’s podcast that she wants to be an artist or an actor. She’s also considering taking acting at school.
Frankel has had a brief acting career herself, which she revived recently. Her latest project, crime drama Danger In The Dorm, came out in June. Now that Hoppy wants to get into acting, we’re reminded of the time she asked her mum what “nepo baby” meant, and the Skinnygirl founder had a hilarious response. “I’m like, ‘Go get yourself a freakin’ mirror’”, she said on TikTok.
Bryn Hoppy is a Swiftie

Frankel mentions on her podcast that her daughter then started listening to all of Swift’s songs to get prepared. Hoppy admits to being a “full-on” Swiftie now, “impressed” by the 14-time Grammy winner. “I just like her a lot, and I like all the eras and like how they’re all different, and I just like all her songs”, she told Frankel. However, when asked about Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce, she said, “I don’t see it.”
