Stars from “The Real Housewives of New Jersey”.

Dolores Catania says she begged her “Real Housewives of New Jersey” co-stars to join the show months before news broke of a reboot this year.

In one appearance on Jason Tartick’s “Trading Secrets” podcast On August 19, 2024, Catania addressed rumors of a cast change if the reality show returns for a 15-minute run.th season.

“I mean, NBC is going to mess with us,” she said of Bravo’s parent company. “There’s some stuff going on off-camera that they’re not happy about, and it’s gotten so bad right now. And I think it’s gotten so heated that it needs to cool down.”

Catania, who describes herself as the “Switzerland” of the cast, also revealed that she spoke to each of her co-stars individually to try to stop them from ruining the show.

Outside Catania, 14th season of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” starring Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Margaret Josephs, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral and Rachel Fuda, and “friends” Jackie Goldschneider and Jennifer Fessler.

Dolores Catania tells her co-stars the fighting must ‘stop’

Congratulations RHONJ’s Jennifer Aydin, Dolores Catania, Jennifer Fessler.

The civil war between the cast on RHONJ came to a head in season 14. Warring sisters-in-law Giudice and Gorga refused to speak to each other, and there were two fights between Aydin and Cabral, one of which resulted in them being temporarily suspended from filming.

Amid the toxicity of the cast and the explosive final scene at Rails Steakhouse, Cohen promised on his Sirius XM radio show “Andy Cohen Live” that RHONJ will be rebooted in some way.

Catania saw it coming. She told Tartick that during filming in the summer of 2023, she warned her friends to hold back. “I told everyone a year ago, ‘Pull your horns, calm down. All off-camera, just sit back, stop,’” she said. “‘Whatever’s going on, it’s going to bring the network to a breaking point with us. Just stop.’”

Catania notes that the RHONJ cast is “a really good group.”

“A lot of times we’re the number one show, we’re the most relatable show, but we can’t do that if we’re just tearing each other down,” she added. “That has to stop.”

She also shared that she advised her feuding co-stars to “ignore each other” if they couldn’t get along. “I saw it coming,” she said.

“They don’t even know if the show will come back,” she added. “Maybe through divine intervention, something good will happen.”

Catania noted that the thought of the show being rebooted made her “jaw drop” because she had worked so hard for the past eight years. “We shared so much,” she said. “And one thing about all of us is we’re very family-oriented. There’s something we all have in common. Why couldn’t we do it together? When I tell you, I begged, (I) begged all of them.”

Dolores Catania Says All Real Housewives Have ‘Expiration Dates’

CongratulationsThe cast of The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Catania has been a main cast member of RHONJ since season 7 in 2016. In an August 2024 interview on “Jeff Lewis Live,” She admitted that all Real Housewives movies have an “expiration date.”

“I always say that whatever our expiration date is—because everyone has an expiration date as a housewife, it’s not forever—I’m going to go out there with a lot of gratitude because this has done so much for me,” she shared. “Did I ever belong on TV? … How did I get this beautiful life? So I’m always grateful every year, like, thank you.”

On Tartick’s podcast, Catania confirmed that she doesn’t know her status on RHONJ for next season. “I don’t know the fate of the show,” she said. “But you never know from year to year whether you’re going to get re-signed.”
