Heather Dubrow saved husband Terry’s life

There are many couples who say they’d do anything for their partner, but Heather Dubrow went above and beyond when she saved her husband, Terry’s, life last August.

Terry suffered a life-threatening medical emergency. Thankfully, his wife was there to help him.

Speaking to Inside Edition, Heather explained the two were at dinner with their son when Terry’s behavior shifted: “He was sort of babbling and his eyes were glazed. What he was saying didn’t make sense. He was not there.”

The RHOC star continues: “I knew exactly what was going on. I knew I had to get him to the hospital.”

Heather explains the moment she decided to take action. She says she told her son to call 9-1-1.

The mom of four’s efforts were met with objection from Terry who said she was “embarrassing him” and “overreacting.”

Terry was finally convinced to go to the ER where he got his diagnosis.

Terry’s life-threatening condition

After accepting his wife’s pleas to go to the hospital, Terry underwent an MRI scan.

He was diagnosed with a serious medical condition: “I had a TIA, a transient ischaemic attack,” AKA a mini-stroke.

Terry also found out he had a hole in his heart, for which he had surgery.

Today, he’s back to good health and holds back tears in the interview when he’s told: “Your wife saved your life.”

He jokes: “Maybe when she’s arguing with me from now on, I’ll just go ‘OK, you’re right’.”

Heather’s perspective changed

Speaking to Us Weekly this August, Heather agrees her “priorities changed since last season.”

Explaining the “shift,” Heather says: “I think as you get older, in general, you get a different perspective… I feel like I was always that kind of person, but after last season, and then after Terry having that mini-stroke, it really sort of recalibrated me in a way…”

She continues: “I really want people in my life that are positive, happy people and I already knew what was important. But, trust me, I lean in even further towards my family.”

Heather touches on the drama between herself and Katie Ginella: “My husband had a stroke, I don’t have time for this…”
