Why Netflix Cancelled ‘Buying Beverly Hills’: The Truth Behind Mauricio Umansky’s Show Ending After 2 Seasons

Mauricio Umansky‘s time on Netflix is coming to an end.

Amid his split from wife, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards, Mauricio’s show Buying Beverly Hills, has been cancelled following just two seasons.

Deadline was the first to break the news, stating the reality TV series, which premiered in 2022, and starred Mauricio and his daughters – Farrah Aldjufrie, 35, Alexia Umansky, 27, and Sophia Umansky, 24, won’t be returning.

The show followed Mauricio and his staff at his real estate company The Agency, which also includes his daughters who work for him.

As for why Netflix decided to cancel the series, it reportedly had to do with the ratings not being high enough when production costs were taken into consideration.

For the time being, Mauricio has yet to comment on the status of his show.

During its second season, ‘Buying Beverly Hills‘  made a ton of headlines due to Mauricio and Kyle’s split as viewers got a front row view into the former couple discussing their separation with their children.

Amid his split from Kyle, it’s expected that Mauricio’s role on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will become limited although he was spotted earlier this year filming a scene with Paul “PK” Kemsley who is also going through a separation from his wife Dorit Kemsley.

The show also touched on Mauricio’s long-standing feud with his brother-in-law, and Kathy Hilton’s husband, Rick Hilton which was addressed on the second season. This feud is what ultimately led to Mauricio starting The Agency which has since become a very successful real estate firm.
