Real Housewives of New York alum Kelly Bensimon shocked everyone when she abruptly called off her wedding in June. Kelly canceled the nuptials just four days before she was set to walk down the aisle with Scott Litner. The reason wasn’t a last-minute cheating scandal or jelly bean shortage. It was Scott’s refusal to sign on the dotted line that was a deal-breaker for Kelly. And now this real estate agent is celebrating being single.

That’s right. When Scott refused to sign the prenup, the single mom called their wedding off. I say good for her for protecting her assets and being mindful of her future. Kelly stated that she is never getting married without a prenup in place. “I’m not going to let my girls do it and I’m not going to do it,” the Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip star stated. After Kelly ended the relationship, she moved back into the Police Building in Manhattan.

And now, Kelly is swimming along in the dating pool. Kelly told Page Six, “I’m not in a relationship” but “I am … happy to move forward with new possibilities.” Why not? She is free and ready to embrace being single. In fact, Kelly said that she is “having fun dating.” She continued, “I am enjoying myself. I am not hunting.” And Kelly is also hopeful about what the future holds. “I can’t wait for my next chapter. I am not in a committed relationship,” she added.
Plus, now Kelly knows to address the prenup issue early in a new relationship. That way there are no unfortunate surprises right before the wedding day.
