Sutton Stracke and Garcelle Beauvais couldn’t be happier about this season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The two stars spoke with Us Weekly about it and shared how excited they are for fans to see the show. Sutton feels she’s in a much better place this season and could enjoy the show better, and Garcelle had a lot of fun becoming friends with Jennifer Tilly and strengthening her bond with Sutton.

“I think that there’s a lot of us that are going through many tumultuous things in our lives,” Sutton Stracke said about the importance of this season. She said she learned a lot, like in every season, but she also had a lot more fun.
“I love doing this show, and the learning curve is really steep, and I love getting to know the ladies in a different way every year.”
“I love growing as a woman. I love growing as a businesswoman, and I love growing as a friend.”
While she has been on the show for a long time and treasures every experience, this season has been special for Sutton due to things that happened in her personal life.
“Five years ago, I was really coming out of a hard divorce, and I didn’t really know exactly what I was doing. I was starting a new business, and not quite sure where I was in life,” she opened up. “Now, we see me very sure of where I am in life and starting a new business and not really wanting to take it from people — but also learning how to be empathetic and listening.”
In Garcelle’s case, what made this a really important season were the friendships, especially with Sutton, but also the growing bond with Jennifer Tilly, who was very excited about joining the cast.
“We have an amazing friendship,” she said, talking about how Sutton and Jennifer had attended the premiere of Terry McMillan Presents: Tempted by Love with her.
“It’s awesome,” she gushed. “I mean, whenever your friends can support you, it’s pretty cool.”

Sutton Stracke loves having fun with her friends and growing as a person, but much like everyone involved in reality TV, she loves a healthy dose of drama. In fact, she thrives on it.
“You got to be ready with these women. But at the same time, at the end of the battle, you learn something about yourself and that’s my favorite part of doing the show,” she said to PEOPLE.

It’s not that she likes fighting, but she loves the things that come out of it, and she learned to stand up for herself in the process.
