Andy Cohen was beyond angry about Luis Ruelas’ comments about Margaret Josephs’ son during a heated exchange with Teresa Giudice. The Watch What Happens Live host wasn’t the only one, as everyone seemed to agree that Luis crossed a line by bringing in Margaret’s son, and Andy said that he would have lost it if someone talked that way about his children.
Sources claim RHONJ won’t resume filming until next year as they figure out the future of the show.
It didn’t take Luis long to reach the same conclusions Andy did. His comments on Real Housewives of New Jersey about wanting Margaret’s son to “suffer” were said in the heat of the moment, and he deeply regrets going after someone’s son like that.
Andy Cohen Is Furious With Luis Ruelas For His Comments

During an episode of the Garbage World podcast, Andy Cohen sympathized with Margaret Joseph and said that he would have gone “absolutely mental” if he had been in her shoes. He called Luis Ruelas’ unfortunate words the “darkest moment” of the RHONJ finale.
“Let me tell you something, if someone that I didn’t care for invoked either of my children’s name… that is what it would take for me to be Danielle [Cabral].”
Andy Cohen responds to frustrated fans who ask for a change in RHONJ.
“Danielle Cabral’s button is: ‘Don’t talk about my husband’s pecs.’ Mine would be if you mention my children in an unfavorable way.”
At that point, the podcast co-hosts Casey Wilson and Danielle Schneider chimed in to agree with him, saying that Luis had crossed a line and that Teresa and the other Housewives “have never gone after each other’s children.”
“Children have always been of importance to these women,” they said.
Luis Ruelas Apologized For His Words

Andy Cohen didn’t need to tell Luis Ruelas that he had crossed a line. The businessman realized that as soon as he saw himself on the show, and was deeply ashamed of his words and behavior.
Luis got extremely angry during a conversation with Teresa Giudice about Margaret Joseph, and as he got increasingly furious, he lost control of his words.
“I hope Margaret and her family suffer. I hope her f****** son suffers the way I suffer, the way other people in our family have suffered dealing with a woman like that. She’s a disgusting, vile human being,” Luis exclaimed. “She’s here to take advantage of everything that’s going on, and she’s a real piece of garbage.”
After having some time to cool down, he realized he had been completely out of line, and apologized publicly.
“The finale was very tough for me to watch and I wanted to address it with you all. After watching the finale, I was disappointed in my actions in bringing up Margaret Josephs’ son,” he said.
He went on to explain why he exploded on screen and shared his frustrations with Margaret without justifying his actions.
“The reason he was even brought up was because I have been dealing with being falsely accused of calling Margaret’s son at his work which is simply not true,” he explained. “For the last year, Margaret kept putting this narrative out there that I called her son at work and I have to deal with it knowing I am being lied on.”
“Still, I know better not to bring someone’s child up and it is something I deeply regret so I do want to apologize and acknowledge that I was wrong.”
