Kelly Bensimon Shines in Bridal White During NYC Stroll with Dogs, One Month After Canceling Wedding with Scott Litner

Kelly Bensimon was effortlessly chic in an all-white outfit during a relaxing stroll with her adorable dogs in New York City on Monday.

The Real Housewives Of New York City alum, 56 – who canceled her wedding to Scott Litner last month in June just four days before the ceremony – enjoyed the warmer summer weather on the casual outing.

The TV personality called off the nuptials after the financier refused to sign a prenup – and recently revealed she wouldn’t get back with Litner if he changed his mind.

Bensimon turned heads wearing a white, satin tank top as well as a white, crochet skirt that contained a hem that fell down past her knees.

She slipped into a pair of open-toed, white sandals to coincide with the color scheme of her look, and to also stay comfortable while walking through the bustling city.

Her long locks were parted in the middle, and flowed down past her shoulders in light waves.

Kelly accessorized her outfit with a gold-chained necklace as well as an assortment of bracelets and a gold watch on her left wrist.

The TV personality added a warm blush to her cheekbones, while a nude-colored tint was worn on her lips for a finishing touch.

Bensimon opted to not carry a heavy purse or handbag on the stroll, and instead simply held her smartphone in her right hand.

She was seen making her way through the Big Apple while walking her adorable pups, and at one point, flashed a cheerful smile during the daytime excursion.

Her latest outing comes shortly after the star revealed that she would not get back with her ex, Scott Litner, if he changed his mind and signed a prenup.

While exclusively talking to DailyMail.com earlier last week, Kelly explained, ‘No, because that’s what happens in real estate. They always say time kills all deals.’

‘So, when you’re separated from people, clarity comes in, you go through all these different stages of loss – anger, sadness – but you have clarity and I deserve that.’

Bensimon continued, ‘If it’s not the best, don’t do it. It doesn’t matter if I’m 56 or if I’m 22. You know, I deserve the best.’

She also opened up about the ceremony that had been planned for June 29 at her former fiancé’s mother’s backyard in Boston.

‘This wasn’t my dream wedding. This is a wedding that I wanted for my ex’s mom. I wanted her to be there.’

‘My parents are both deceased, and so I wanted to do something where she would be involved and it would be centered around her, about her.’

A second, larger ceremony had also been planned and was slated to take place in the Hamptons.

Kelly also expressed, ‘There’s a lot of loss that goes into canceling a wedding, but you know what? There’s so much more gain. Sometimes you have to take the loss to reap the benefits of the game.’

Following the shock split, Bensimon also told DailyMail.com at The Daily Front Row’s Most Stylish Party at Sunset Harbor in the Hamptons that both she and Scott are on ‘amicable’ terms.

She added that she ‘wants him to be happy’ and doesn’t like ‘bad mouthing people. I don’t need to make someone else look bad. But what I do need to do is protect myself.’

Bensimon – who is a real estate broker for Douglas Elliman – has been focused on work and her family in the wake of the separation.

While ending the engagement was ‘very emotional’ for the star, she stated, ‘Honestly, I don’t have the luxury to do that. I work. I have a big business. I travel a lot. My clients will not be very happy if I was just sitting there.’

‘My job is not a crying job. I take myself seriously, and when I’m feeling bad about myself, I’ll go on a little run. I play polo. I’m trying to do things to better myself.’

‘There’s nothing wrong with crying. Believe me, I cry a lot. Just because someone doesn’t value me, doesn’t mean I’m going to cry.’

In regards to if she has plans to jump back into the dating pool, Kelly expressed, ‘I’m open to considering dating, but not tomorrow.’

‘I will start to go out and it’s not like I’m not having fun meeting people, but it’s not about dating people, it’s about meeting the right person. Just more disheartening this time. My dad always says too – when you least expect it, someone’s going to be there…’

Last month in June, Kelly opened up to Us Weekly about the ‘ultimate red flag’ that made her call off the wedding and revealed Litner refused to sign a prenup ahead of the nuptials.

She shares Sea, 26, Teddy, 24, with ex-husband Gilles Bensimon – whom she was married to from 1997 until their divorce was finalized in 2007

‘I haven’t come this far in business and life to start making poor decisions because of a man. He of all people should have understood the need to protect each other before we tied the knot. I’m truly shocked he refused a prenup.’

The star – who is reportedly worth $10 million – added Scott, ‘thought that I would enter this union without legal protections in place, that I would leave everything to faith.’

Kelly had initially called off her engagement to Litner in a statement, per Page Six, which read, ‘I have decided that my two daughters are my priority and I won’t be moving forward with this wedding.’
