Reality star Lisa Vanderpump shared some devastating news with her followers on Wednesday, July 3 – her father, John Vanderpump, has sadly passed away at the age of 84.

The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star posted a sweet tribute to her dad on her Instagram, which featured a touching photo of the two of them, expressing her deep sorrow in the caption. “I will miss you daddy … Broken-hearted. The post quickly garnered numerous condolences from friends and fans alike. Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice was among celebs who extended their sympathy, commenting, “So sorry for your loss.” Lisa’s RHOBH co-star, Camille Meyer, also shared a thoughtful note, commenting, “So sorry🕊️ for your loss. 🤍.”

This recent loss adds to a series of personal tragedies for Lisa, 63. In June 2019, her mother, Jean Vanderpump, also passed away at 84, which followed the devastating loss of her brother, Mark Vanderpump, who passed away in 2018 at the age of 59 from suicide.

Lisa has opened up about losing her brother in the past. On the season 9 premiere of RHOBH, she tearfully said, “I know my brother well enough to know my brother didn’t mean to do this. It was a cry for help that went horribly wrong.” She added, “There’s a lot of people who say taking a life is selfish, [but] I’ve never felt that.”

Later that year in June, Lisa appeared on RuPaul’s talk show, once again getting candid about her brother’s death and the importance of discussing personal struggles. “When you reach out to people, when you share your stories, people will benefit from your experience, and you can say how you worked through it or maybe how you can prevent something in the future,” she shared. “So reaching out and being the best you can be and being the best support to those around you, if you’re going through something, it’s OK. We’re all gonna go through something.”
