The reality star criticized the “bulls— behavior” involving Ozempic after a friend of hers, who needs the drug for medical reasons, has been unable to get it

Danielle Cabral is criticizing people who are jumping on the trend of taking Ozempic for weight loss when it’s not medically necessary.
During Wednesday’s live taping of PageSix’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 38, slammed people who were using Ozempic and didn’t actually need it, claiming they are limiting the supply for those who actually need it.
Ozempic is an FDA-approved prescription medication for people with type 2 diabetes. It’s one of the brand names for semaglutide — also known as Wegovy — which works in the brain to impact satiety, and has become increasingly popular for its off-label use for weight loss.
“I was with somebody today, a very dear friend of mine, who actually needs [Ozempic] for medical reasons, and cannot get it because of this stupid, bulls— behavior,” Cabral said. “But she can’t get it, she can’t get it.”
“Run on a f—ing treadmill,” she added.

Cabral then quickly backtracked as her costar Jennifer Fessler — who recently revealed that she’s been taking Ozempic — attempted to chime in. “Not you, Jenn. Sorry,” she said.
Fessler, 53, then defended her decision to take the medication for weight loss.
“I mean, I’ve been running on a treadmill for 55 years,” Fessler said. “So, I’ve been trying. I’ve been tortured. It’s been a mind f— for me, my weight and food, for so many years and this is the first time in my life that I’ve had some relief.”
“So I don’t know what to say. I have tried everything to control my weight,” she continued. “I was a raging bulimic. I was 223 lbs. at my highest. I wasn’t obese when I joined the Housewives, but trust me… my head spins, my binging, my cuckoo-ness around food has been excruciatingly painful. And this is the first time I’ve gotten some freedom around it.”

Fessler first opened up about her use of weight loss injections earlier this week on the first episode of her Two Jersey Js podcast with her RHONJ costar Jackie Goldschneider. “I have been on, and I’m not going to call it Ozempic — that’s been the umbrella name. But I’ve been on semaglutide for over a year now, and I’ve lost maybe 22 pounds,” she said during the show.
Goldschneider, who has been vocal about not agreeing with the use of Ozempic for weight loss, called it a “very dangerous trend” but said she respects her friend’s decision to take the weekly injections, asking Fessler if she was nervous about taking it.
“I’m a raging hypochondriac, but when it comes to things having to do with my physical appearance, somehow that goes out the window,” Fessler said. “For instance, I’m not afraid at all of going into surgery for anything cosmetic.”
She continued, “I’m not afraid of Ozempic and I will tell you I have had an experience that was not good — and I’m pretty positive it was about the semaglutide — where I had to go to the hospital for an impacted bowel… and I’m still not nervous about it.”
