Melissa Gorga is ready to reconnect with an estranged RHONJ family member. Her family has faced a great divide over the last handful of seasons. Just when it seems to be improving, something smacks them back down and it is worse than ever. Melissa Gorga Ready To Reconnect With RHONJ Family Member
The drama is high on RHONJ after the Sunday, June 23rd episode and Melissa Gorga had nothing to do with it. Her sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice, whom she is estranged from, had a Tulum-themed party. Unfortunately, cast members, Danielle Cabral and Jennifer Aydin went at it with the latter shoving the former. In the blink of an eye, Danielle retaliated by throwing her drink across Jennifer’s face. It was a hot mess but, for one of the first times in a very long time, it had nothing to do with Teresa and Melissa.

Fans and co-stars have long tried to figure out if the two will ever reconcile, simply for the sake of the family. Some have speculated that had Teresa not married her husband, Luis Ruelas, things may have been different between her, her brother Joe Gorga, and his wife, Melissa. However, there is one family member from RHONJ that Melissa is ready to reconnect with. According to Meaww, Joe and Teresa’s first cousin, Kathy Wakile is moving near the Gorgas.
Teresa, Melissa, and Kathy were great prior to starring on RHONJ but Kathy felt she was forced to choose sides with the women. She has since been estranged from both Teresa Giudice and Melissa. Joe Gorga also played a part as he fiercely defended Teresa. However, Melissa shared on Jeff Lewis Live she does have hope for them coming together:
“They are building a house diagonal from me — across the street — on my street.”
Melissa noted this about her husband:
“I do think that he regrets, you know, he did what he had to do at the time to back his sister up and do what he had to do, but I really think he enjoyed Kathy. Kathy was a good cousin to him. She took care of him. He had a great relationship with [Kathy’s sister] Rosie. I secretly hope Joe and Kathy are walking down the street one day and bump into each other. Kathy’s a good person.”
True Optimism
Melissa Gorga really does have a fondness for Kathy Wakile and believes that there is a chance they can mend fences. More so, she does feel that her husband, Joe Gorga wants to be on good terms with his family again. However, it has been hard as the Gorgas and Wakiles joined the show in Season 3. Yet, they did not tell Teresa Giudice. The biggest issue, as Melissa mentioned, was that she and Joe did take Teresa’s side more often than not, hurting Kathy. Plus, Kathy and her family were let go after Season 5 while Melissa has stuck around.
