Season 14 of Real Housewives of New Jersey has been difficult. The fun factor is missing, and the tension is still high. It is awkward and exhausting. While Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga are not speaking, the entire cast has taken sides. With the Season 14 reunion canceled, and a finale that sounds unhinged, fans are questioning where the show goes from here. And Jenn Fessler is wondering what the future holds for her friendship with Rachel Fuda.
Jenn and Rachel are no longer speaking
During a visit to the Housewives Nightcap podcast, Jennifer discussed the state of her relationship with Rachel. “I think I’ve heard a lot and read a lot about the fact that I am not a loyal friend. I’m a flip-flopper. I’ve seen a little snake emoji that people do – I’m a snake,” Jenn explained. “So, I think I’d probably like to kind of give a little more in terms of my side of things … and what I think that loyalty is. It’s all news to me that I’m not a loyal friend. This is kind of a first,” she added.
During the Season 13 reunion, Rachel’s husband, John Fuda, accused Teresa and her husband, Luis Ruelas, of investigating them. So, Teresa hit back, spreading a rumor about John allegedly being a drug dealer during his youth. So, when Jenn started spending time conversing with Teresa, Rachel was hurt and offended.
When Jenn was asked if her age difference with Rachel was a factor in their friendship woes, she denied it. “You know, I think that’s like an easy out. I think that Rachel is an old soul and I think she’s been through stuff in her life. Hard stuff. So, I don’t know that it’s necessarily an age thing,” Jenn stated. “Maybe it’s more a matter of we jumped in so quickly without really gathering enough information in terms of, you know, ‘Who are you and who am I?’ We didn’t know the sort of roadblocks that we would come across. But no. I don’t really think it’s an age thing.”
Jenn also explained that she and Teresa “were never close, close friends.” She continued, “I’m very close to Margaret [Josephs]. I’m very close to Dolores [Catania]. I’m close to Melissa. Of course. I’m close to Jackie [Goldschneider]. We have a podcast together.” She added that she is “not speaking to Rachel.”
So, what does the future look like for Rachel and Jenn? “So, if Rachel and I were in a situation where we never saw each other again, I don’t know that either one of us would necessarily make it happen. I mean I certainly have been very sad about it. I hope that she’s been sad about it,” the RHONJ friend stated. “So [but] you know, who knows what the future holds? I would only wish good things for the Fudas and their beautiful family.”
Jenn continued, “And Rachel never did anything to me that was hurtful. She never tried to hurt me in any way.” Let’s hope that these ladies can mend their friendship or move on peacefully.
