NeNe Leаkes’ Former Lаndlord Wаnts $25K Judgment, Sendѕ Summonѕ to Bаnk

NeNe Leakes has had a rough couple of years. After being fired from the Real Housewives of Atlanta, the reality star closed her boutique, Swagg. However, according to the building owner, NeNe never paid her rent for the last few months, and now he wants his money.

Swagg building owner asks bank to hold all of NeNe’s money

We told you a little while ago that NeNe was facing unpaid rent claims. According to court documents obtained by In Touch, NeNe departed her store’s location in 2022. However, she never paid her remaining balance of $22,900.

A group called MGP-Sugarloaf took the reality star to court, demanding she pay the final portion of her rent. But it looks like things have still been at a standstill. Or, perhaps, NeNe still isn’t budging.

Court documents show MGP was awarded a five-figure settlement, but NeNe has yet to pay her dues. Now, they’ve issued a summons to NeNe’s financial institution — Truist Bank. In the filing, they asked Truist “to immediately hold all money, including wages, and other property, except what is known to be exempt, including property in safe deposit boxes or similar property that you hold, belonging to the Defendant named above beginning on the day of service of this summons and including the next five days.”

Whew. This is getting messy… as hell. NeNe, we’ve got to get this taken care of. Nobody wants to see Atlanta’s very rich b*tch go down like this.

Now, it’s important to note that NeNe acknowledged this drama last year. When somebody asked her if she planned on paying her bill, she shot back with an interesting comment. “Gregg [Leakes] signed the lease, not me,” she said. “He ain’t here.” Gregg died in September 2021.

If we get any more news on this situation, you know we’ll keep you posted.
