The relationship between Kathy Hilton and Kyle Richards has its ups and downs. We’ve seen that firsthand on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Right now, they’re in a good place, and it sounds like Kyle’s separation somehow brought them closer together.
In a new interview, Kathy opened up about how she’s been a major source of support for Kyle over the last few months. She acknowledged that it’s rough for Kyle right now, but she has her back. The Richards sisters are once again, acting like sisters.
Kathy Hilton has Kyle’s back like a real sister
We got a glimpse of Kathy’s rekindled relationship with Kyle during the RHOBH Season 13 reunion. Kathy made a surprise appearance and sat right next to Kyle throughout the most difficult segments. Kathy told Entertainment Tonight that she showed up to be nosey, but more importantly, to support her little sister.
“I wanted to be there and just hold her hand,” Kathy said. “I wanted to be there and be supportive. It was great to see all the girls again.”
Reflecting on Kyle’s current state of affairs, Kathy described it as a “scary time.” No, she wasn’t talking about when that rat made its way to Kyle’s car. She was referring to the fact that Kyle has to try to move on from who she thought was the love of her life. According to Kathy, they’re all trying to take things one day at a time.
“You know, there’s good days for Kyle and then there’s tough days,” Kathy explained. “And I am there talking to her every day, several times, and I wanna be there for her.”
She continued, “It’s very scary after almost 28 years. She’s been married her whole life. And the four children. It doesn’t matter what age. It’s heartbreaking.”
It’s a relief to know that Kyle has someone in her corner because it’s not clear if her RHOBH costars have been as supportive. They forced Kyle to answer some tough questions at the Season 13 reunion.
Plus, Season 14 is filming right now, and a fan spotted Kyle going off on Dorit Kemsley. That’s probably not a good sign. With all of the drama, Kyle probably needs as many people in her corner right now. Thank goodness for Kathy.
