Shannon Storms Beador’s beloved golden retriever, Archie, recently had a frightening experience.
The Real Housewives of Orange County cast member revealed as much in a June 10 Instagram post. “Archie was bit by another dog when we went on a walk today. The dog was enclosed in his front patio, but started to bark and stuck his face out to bite Archie through the slats in the fence,” Shannon wrote alongside two photos of her injured pup. “It happened within seconds and I tried to pull Archie away. The owner said that maybe I walked too close to his fence. I was on the public sidewalk.”
Thankfully, this was a rare occurrence for Archie, as Shannon went on to reveal he’s “never been in a dog fight in all of his 8 years!!”
And in even better news, “Archie has been checked by the vet and is on antibiotics for the wounds. He will be ok,” Shannon concluded. “Love him beyond!!!”

The update on Archie comes after Shannon shared some happier news regarding her dog back in February. At the time, she posted a pair of adorable photos of Archie — one showing him resting peacefully on the couch, cuddled up next to pillows, and another in which he’s lying on an area rug, looking right at his mom behind the camera.
“Archie doesn’t like the rain so he is lounging inside today staring out the window waiting patiently for it to stop…” Shannon wrote in the caption of the post.
As for what fans can expect from Shannon, her official BravoTV.com bio reads, “Following a very difficult year, Shannon Storms Beador is doing her best to move forward as she faces the consequences from her DUI. With her twins in college, this empty-nester is left trying to mend her fractured friendships. However, she’s continuously in the hot seat as her life choices are questioned. Things get awkward for Shannon when her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend, Alexis Bellino, threatens to bring damaging information about her past.”
