Ever since the debut of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, there have been numerous iconic moments on the show, from the memorable meltdown in Amsterdam in Season 5, Episode 16, to Lisa Vanderpump’s husband Ken Todd’s famous one-liner “Goodbye, Kyle” in Season 9, Episode 8.
While those scenes are considered reality gold and will always live in our heads rent-free, there is another moment from a past episode of RHOBH that often gets overlooked, but it’s equally as hilarious. The moment in question? Well, let’s just say it includes Kyle Richards, Yolanda Hadid, and a four-legged reptile.
More specifically, it occurred in Season 4, Episode 18, during a cast trip to Puerto Rico. While en route to explore the Caribbean island, Yolanda befriended a local she noticed was carrying their pet iguana. “Aw, he’s beautiful. He’s your baby?” she said.
Of course, with Yolanda being an animal lover, she insisted on holding the green creature and showing it off to her friends, who weren’t equally thrilled about it. “I brought you a present,” the former supermodel told Kyle and her sister Kim Richards in the clip above.
“That’s so cute, but I don’t want it near me,” Kyle said while slowly backing away as Yolanda approached her. “It’s really cute. It goes good with your outfit, Yolanda… Please, I don’t want it near me! No, please! I’m serious, don’t. I’m scared, no!”
In a confessional Kyle explained her reason for being terrified of the iguana, saying, “I don’t like creatures with long nails. It doesn’t exactly look like a fluffy kitty to me, OK.”

Are Yolanda Hadid and Kyle Richards still in touch?
Ultimately, Yolanda departed RHOBH in 2016 after a four-season stint. During a February 2017 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Kyle opened up about the last time she and Yolanda had a heart-to-heart conversation.
“I actually have not spoken to Yolanda. I texted her for a while after the show ended and she was not a part of the show anymore, and she was still struggling with her health,” she said. “And so I have not spoken to her.”
However, the two did manage to reach out to each other for one special reason. “We texted each other ‘Happy Birthday’ because we have the same birthday January 11,” she explained at the time, adding, “But other than that, I have not had any contact with her.”
Although it’s been years since Yolanda and Kyle have talked (from what we know), the pair continues to follow each other on Instagram.
