Andy Cohen Hіnts At ‘RHONJ’ Seаson 15 Cаst Shаkeup After Sсrapping Trаditionаl Seаson 14 Reunіon

Andy Cohen is talking about The Real Housewives of New Jersey after news of Season 14 canceling a traditional reunion and rumors of a possible Season 15 reboot.

The Watch What Happens Live late-night host and executive producer of The Real Housewives franchise addressed rumors that RHONJ would get a reboot following Season 14.

“There was a lot of play with that one and I think the answer is, I was talking to a cast member about this today. We are gonna cross next season as that comes,” Cohen said during an interview on SiriusXM’s Reality Checked. “Right now, we’re just kind of focusing on, ‘OK, well if we’re not doing a conventional reunion, what are we doing and what is something different that we could do?’”

Cohen noted that The Real Housewives of Atlanta is coming out of an extensive hiatus following Season 15 as Bravo hit the breaks on production of the show to allow time for a major cast shakeup ahead of Season 16.

“I think Atlanta was a really good example of, we came out of that last season, and we knew, ‘OK, we want to do extensive casting and we want to just give this some time,’ and I will say, we gave it time and a lot of people were saying, ‘Well, where’s Atlanta? What’s happening? There hasn’t been any announcements,’ whatever,” he continued. “I’m so happy with what’s going on down in Atlanta right now. Some things take time, and we want to take a minute to figure things out. You know, there’s no point in rushing into something just to rush into something.”

RHONJ Season 14 premiered in May with the cast completely divided as OG star Teresa Giudice and her sister-in-law Melissa Gorga refuse to talk to each other after a major fallout last season. Their refusal to acknowledge one another has caused Bravo to re-imagine what a reunion looks like as they have opted out of a traditional reunion.

In the same interview, Cohen also addressed the leaks RHONJ has been experiencing throughout the year.

“I hate leaks as you can imagine because it just, I mean that’s what was so fun about that Reality Von Tease thing. It was like no one knew about it and it was just so fun as a viewer, so I hope that we can get into a vibe of not leaking,” he said. “I think that the cast on Jersey is so fed up with each other. There are teams of people against each other and I think you would probably agree that one of the things that didn’t work about the last season of Potomac was that the group, it was kind of no coming together for this group.”

He continued, “It was like unheard of, so that’s our thing to solve for next season of Jersey and we can do it and we will figure it out, but in terms of the leaks, I hate leaks. I just think that there’s a supreme level of kind of distrust amongst the cast with each other and that’s never healthy in terms of trying to make a great television show.”
