Alex Bаskin Cаlls RHOBH Seаson 14 ‘Bаnаnаs’ аnd ‘Ton of Fun’

Let’s hope that Bravo executive producer extraordinaire Alex Baskin’s excitement for Season 14 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is warranted!

Season 13 was lackluster and left much to be desired. The main takeaways were basically that Kyle Richards wasn’t going to expose the entirety of her marriage woes, and Sutton Stracke possesses a very provocative esophagus.

However, filming for S14 is currently underway. Alex recently shared that he believes it has all of the ingredients that make for a successful season.

Alex Baskin: RHOBH Season 14 “is off to a great start”

Alex chatted with The Hollywood Reporter yesterday and gave an update on RHOBH filming.

He shared, “Beverly Hills is bananas. It is off to a great start. Obviously, there is a lot going on publicly in their personal lives, but there is a new fresh energy.”

Presumably, the “fresh energy” is a result of a cast shake-up. Earlier this month, Bravo confirmed that Kyle, Erika Jayne, Garcelle Beauvais, Dorit Kemsley, and Sutton will return for season 14. Bozoma Saint John is making her rookie debut. Kyle’s sister, Kathy Hilton, and Sutton’s bestie, Jennifer Tilly, will appear as “friends-of.”

The new additions come after Crystal Kung Minkoff and Annemarie Wiley made their exit.

Alex teased, “They were all just on a trip together this weekend and it was all the things. It was bonding and healing and dramatic, and it shifted relationships in ways that aren’t expected.”

He added, “Boz [Saint John] is fearless, so she’s come in and she fits in. She’s very bold. And then Kathy [Hilton], obviously, is in her full glory, and is great and fun and wacky, as is Jennifer Tilly.”

As for the issues some of the interpersonal issues the ladies are facing, it seems that there will be a focus on Kyle and Dorit’s strained friendship. And, the unraveling of their marriages.

“There is a lot of water under the bridge, so I would say they’re figuring out what’s going on with them personally, but they both have very strong feelings,” he revealed.

All in all, Alex believes that this will be a real diamond of a season. “So there’s a ton of fun. I think it’s really funny, and it’s also raw and real. Just really off to a gangbusters start.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will likely return to Bravo in late 2024 or early 2025.
