Tamra Judge Scrambles to Apologize to Ryan Boyajian After WWHL Drama Unfolds

Real Housewives Of Orange County star Tamra Judge came for Ryan Boyajian on Thursday’s Watch What Happens Live, and she seems to regret either what she said, or the consequences of it.

On Thursday (September 26), Tamra appeared on Andy Cohen’s late-night slash reality TV mainstay WWHL, an incubator for drama of all sorts … and in this case, the kind that could lead to a lawsuit.

Real Housewives personalities have been known to talk their way into trouble on WWHL – or perhaps more accurately, “whenever Andy Cohen is nearby” – but WWHL drama is often slower to propagate due to its variable time slot and the frequency with which it airs.

But when someone says something absolutely out of pocket on WWHL, fans tend to eventually notice, as they have with Tamra Judge’s controversial remarks about Ryan Boyajian.

“One of my friends called and asked if you had been [in] a motorcycle accident.”

Tamra appeared on the September 26 episode of Watch What Happens Live, and she sounded pretty confident when she spoke about Ryan.

A clip of Tamra’s appearance is currently available on WWHL’s official YouTube channel, but it doesn’t include the remarks in question.

However, a fan uploaded a clip of Tamra’s statement about Ryan to Reddit’s r/realhousewives.

The poster claimed the segment had been “edited out of Watch What Happens Live,” but we were unable to ascertain whether that was the case:

Because the segment was slow to draw attention, many fans viewed it only after reading Tamra’s first apology.

Although it’s a short clip (eight seconds), both Tamra and Andy both spoke in the following exchange:

[Tamra]: “You know what, Ryan? We sell more in a month than what you stole, what you stole, um, from the Dodger player.”

[Andy, sensing litigation]: “Oh, boy.”

Tamra appeared to be referencing a controversy tangentially related to RHOC and Ryan Boyajian, involving Los Angeles Dodgers player Shohei Ohtani.

The next night, Tamra’s backpedaling began with an Instagram Live featuring the star and husband Eddie Judge strolling the streets of Manhattan, and in that clip, Tamra talks about having misspoken on WWHL — mentioning what she said about Ryan in a suspiciously casual manner, and almost as an afterthought.

Almost as if she immediately realized she could get sued, and wanted to downplay it alongside other, far more benign ways in which she supposedly “misspoke.”

On September 28, Ryan shared another Instagram account’s post about Tamra’s WWHL appearance, one which featured a screenshot of him saying he “served” (i.e., formally delivered legal papers) Tamra Judge.

Ryan was responding to someone advising him to “get a lawyer” and sue Tamra, and he said:

FACTS

I ALREADY DID — I hired Geoff Neri [who] is the same AMAZING attorney that represented Jim Bellino in his victorious slander and defamation lawsuit against Tamra years ago. She was served yesterday [September 27] #ROUND 2

According to Ryan, Tamra was “served” the day after WWHL aired, presumably before she and Eddie recorded the Instagram Live.

Tamra then issued a text-based statement via Instagram Story, which was captured in screenshots, and it read:

“As I mentioned on my IG story yesterday, I would like to apologize for and correct the record on a misstatement I made on WWHL on Thursday about Ryan Boyajian.

I have no reason to believe that Ryan has stolen any money. I misspoke in tying Ryan to the actions of others. I meant to say ‘my company makes more money than what was stolen from the dodger player,’ unfortunately, I misspoke on live television.

“While Ryan and I have had ongoing issues, I do apologize to him for the mistake and wish to make clear that my statement was made in error.”

Tamra’s explanation was certainly interesting — she claimed she “misspoke,” and never intended to say Ryan stole any money from a Dodgers player.

As for whether Bravo is making the clip of Tamra’s comments about Ryan scarce, another commenter remarked:

“I missed WWHL last Thursday and, it appears that Bravo isn’t making it available on their website. I wonder if that’s because they don’t want to be sued for what Tamra said.”

In the comments for Ryan’s shared post about serving Tamra, Vicki Gunvalson dropped by to comment:

“Guess [Tamra] didn’t learn before with being sued [by] Jim. She has no storyline unless she’s attacking someone.

“Peeing on your backyard cement was ‘it’ for me and everyone else. It’s gross, classless and rude. Now… hopefully she learns her lesson [about] defaming people. 👏”

A photograph purportedly depicting the papers Ryan served Tamra is circulating, but there’s no indication it’s authentic, and it looks to be a plain envelope; neither party has yet provided additional information.
