Rebecca Minkoff claims Jenna Lyons turned down her offer to “fake fight” over fashion while filming season 15 of RHONY.
Fashion designer and Real Housewives of New York‘s newest face, Rebecca Minkoff, recently chatted with DECIDER about the upcoming 15th season and her dynamic with fellow fashionista Jenna Lyons.
“We just had a lot of fun together,” Rebecca Minkoff, who will appear as a friend of the Housewives throughout season 15, gushed. “And she’s been so supportive. And obviously, you know, Racquel [Chevremont] and I were the newbies, so [Lyons] really held my hand through a lot of stuff to just understand how it all works.”
As Rebecca navigated the world of reality TV while filming season 15 of RHONY, she tossed out ideas about how she and Jenna could use their fashion backgrounds to stir the pot.
“I kept joking with her. I was like, ‘We should do fake fighting over, like, who’s more stylish,’” she recalled. “And she was like, ‘We’re good.’ And I was like, ‘But it’d be so funny if we did that!’”
While Jenna and Rebecca may not have feuded over fashion, Brynn Whitfield shaded the designer and her handbag brand.
“Rebecca Minkoff? I don’t know if you ever heard of her. If you were just at Nordstrom Rack, you probably saw her stuff,” Brynn tells one of her friends in the Real Housewives of New York season 15 trailer.
Ubah Hassan, Jenna Lyons, Sai De Silva, Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank, Brynn Whitfield, are all returning for season 15. They will be joined by newbie Racquel Chevremont as well as Rebecca Minkoff.
Season 15 of RHONY. premieres Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
