RHONY’s Sai De Silva Was ‘Warned Seven Times’ Before Making Shocking Comments About Co-Star

Guest starring on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live this summer, RHONY cast member Sai De Silva rehashes some comments she made during her past appearance on the show. Sai defends her “hot mic moment” as Jeff tells her she was “warned six or seven times” that she was on air.

Bravo fans should be loving life these days. The Real Housewives of New Jersey just ended with a huge blowout at Rails, RHOC is currently in full flow, and The Real Housewives of New York City is set to air this October. Despite the Real Housewives episodes coming through thick and fast, some viewers are disappointed by the shows. If the RHONY stars aren’t giving enough on camera, however, it seems they’re making up for it during their interviews off-screen.

Sai De Silva on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live

During a chat with Jeff Lewis and co on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, Sai addresses her recent “hot mic comment” about co-star Rebecca Minkoff.

Rebecca is a newcomer to RHONY this year. But, it seems she’s not getting any special treatment from OG Sai despite being fresh to the franchise.

Jeff got straight to it when addressing Sai’s previous comments.

He says: “Now, the last time you were on, we have to address this right away, it actually, it affected, so you had, there was a hot mic moment here in this studio the last time you were on. Now, I just would love for you, I mean, you can tell us what you, but we did warn you six or seven times, is that correct?”

Bravo star Sai responds: “I don’t really recall. I just don’t understand. Why are you recording commercials? How am I, when am I supposed to talk sh** about people?”

Jeff continues: “So, Jamison, maybe ’cause you know, I did notice how we all tune him out when he’s talking, so it is possible that you just automatically tuned him out the five, six times. He warned you that we were on video, so what happened was, you know, thank god it wasn’t that bad, but, you know, Sai had made a comment about her castmate, and it really wasn’t that bad.”

Sai says her comments were fine, adding: “It wasn’t bad at all. I said the girl was nice.”

Some fans question whether this was the case, however, commenting on the YouTube snippet from the radio show: “She didn’t just say, ‘She is nice’. She also added, ‘She is boring’.”

Another writes: “Look at Sai trying to go back on what she said.”

Sai ‘learned how to block out press’

As Sai defends her comments about Rebecca, she’s surprised to learn her remarks went viral.

Jeff tells her: “Sai, it went everywhere.”

Insinuating she didn’t know the comments did the rounds in the news, Sai explains on the radio show: “No, I live in a bubble. I really, I have learned how to block out press.”

She goes on to triple down on her initial comments about Rebecca.

Sai says: “For my sanity. I had no idea, and it was actually Rebecca who texted me. I had no idea that it had even gotten out. It was Rebecca because…

“I didn’t talk sh** about her. I said the girl was nice and she is a nice person, so she texted me and then she only sent me the clip and then question mark and I was like, ‘What?’ I watched it and I go, ‘I literally had no idea.’ I said, ‘What? You are very nice,’ and doubled down on it.”

The RHONY star concludes: “I like her. I’ve known Rebecca for a while. We both lived in Dumbo together for a little bit, and I just, she really is a sweet person.”
