The Real Housewives of New Jersey has experienced some real drama lately, with a massive divide formed between the Housewives. Leaving some of the cast not on speaking terms, fans wonder what this means for the next installment. Gia Giudice grew up on the show, along with her mother Teresa, similar to everyone’s favorite on-screen family the Kardashians. It seems the bond runs deeper than just a reality TV connection, as Gia compares her mum’s parenting style to that of Kim.

Teresa ‘on a budget’ after being too soft with daughters
In her September 4 episode of podcast Turning the Tables, Teresa Giudice sits down with her daughter Gia for a heart-to-heart. They intimately discuss their mother-daughter relationship, the challenges of growing up on RHONJ, and different parenting styles.
Gia is obviously very close to her mom and is extremely grateful for the way she was raised. She said: “I wouldn’t have wanted to grow up any other way. I’ve always respected you guys.”
Ranking herself as one of the more mature and respectful siblings she is “angry”, at the way her sisters often treat her mother and the “things” that they “get away with.”

Gia told her mom: “Like I would never disrespect, because if I disrespected you, I would like literally want to pee my pants.”
In contrast, her sisters will just say: “Oh, I’m leaving” without revealing any more information, something that really grinds Gia’s gears.
Teresa struggled to find the words to defend her daughter’s actions. She shared: “I just think it’s very, I don’t know. And they know, they know what to do. They’re not stupid.”
This is when Gia lands her with a stark comparison. She tells her mom: “I literally was just watching the Kardashians the other day because Kim is like you.”
Teresa’s daughter says she’s similar to Kim due to her agreeable nature and not wanting “to hear her kids.”
Teresa clarified Gia’s intent with an example: “Okay, you want the candy here, take the candy. Just leave me alone. So that’s what Kim Kardashian does.”
To which her daughter confirmed: “And that’s what you do.”
Her daughter is keen for Teresa to be more strict, as she gets carried away handing over more than just candy. The Bravo star admitted to handing over her credit cards too!
Frequently shocked by the numbers on her credit card bill she joked: “So now, now I’m on a budget.”

Gia dubs RHONJ ladies ‘insecure and jealous’
Growing up on our screens, it has been hard for fans, and other cast members, to see Gia as anything more than a child. Gia clapped back on the podcast to let the other RHONJ ladies that she’s an adult who’s not short of opinions.
The 23-year-old said that people still picture her “as like the 9-year-old” even though she has now “graduated from college” and is currently “working.”
“I’m very much an adult.” She added.
With an extra little twist of the knife, she said: “But the people who also say that about me [refer to her as a child] are just, they’re very insecure and jealous. And they’re jealous because they don’t have somebody like me on their side.”
