Frank Catania Sr. is so close to saying “I Do” to fiancé, Brittany Mattessich. After getting down on one knee and asking Brittany to marry him last year, Dolores Catania’s ex-husband is headed to the altar within a matter of time. The Real Housewives of New Jersey ex hinted at the upcoming date of their nuptials in an Instagram post penned to Brittany on her birthday over the weekend.
When are Frank Catania and Brittany Mattessich getting married?
Frank and Brittany will be getting married before the end of the year, according to his Instagram caption. So, their wedding could be a matter of days, weeks, or sometime within the next three months as 2024 nears its end.
Frank posted an Instagram Reel on September 7 with so many photos of him and Brittany, taken throughout the course of their relationship. He took to the caption where he professed his love to his fiancé and hinted at the date of their big day. “I hope you get everything that you wish for and cannot wait to call you my wife this year,” he wrote.
“Thank you for being my everything and always making me smile and laugh. I am a better person because of you babe,” he concluded. “Thank you.”
Dolores took to the comments of Brittany’s Instagram post over the weekend, where she shared her well wishes for Frank’s bride-to-be. “Wishing u the best birthday,” she wrote, alongside four red heart emojis. “And all your dreams come true.”

Brittany has already celebrated the major milestone events along the way in her wedding journey. After having her bridal shower in late April, Brittany later marked her upcoming nuptials again in early August, where she appeared to have the most fun Bachelorette party.

In now-disappeared Instagram Stories from the weekend, Brittany can be seen wearing a hot pink swimsuit and white hat, emblazoned with the word “Bride” on top of it. Brittany and her friends also toasted to the weekend ahead of them, captioning the photo with the words “Pink Party” on top of the post.

Brittany’s friends showed off the bachelorette party decorations in their own Instagram Stories, which included giant cutouts of Frank, and lots of balloons. In a separate post to her feed, Brittany showed off just how much fun they all had at “The Brittyyy Bender.”
When did Frank Catania and Brittany Mattessich get engaged?
Frank asked Brittany to marry him in late October 2023, in front of a wall of red roses. He put a lit up sign on top of the wall asking Brittany the big question: “Will You Marry Me?”. She, of course, said yes.
“Thank you for being you [and] making me the happiest girl in the world,” Brittany wrote in the caption of the Instagram post, showing off scenes from the proposal. “I wouldn’t want to do this life with anyone else other [than] [Frank]. love you so much my fiancé.”

During RHONJ Season 14, Episode 5, Frank took Dolores and their two kids — Frankie Catania and Gabby Catania — out to dinner where he showed off the “11-carat” engagement ring that he was planning on proposing to Brittany with. Frank practiced asking the big question with Dolores in the middle of a restaurant, much to the surprise of their fellow diners.
“I’m showing her what I’ll do with my girlfriend,” Frank told the restaurant patrons in the episode. “We’ve already been there, done that.”
Previously, during RHONJ Season 14, Episode 3, Dolores gave Frank her approval to marry his longtime girlfriend. “Frank is more ready to be a husband now more than he was 30 years ago,” she said, during a confessional. “He has lived 10 lives, frankly.”
