THE Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has been tied to another reality series on Bravo in a connection that has fans shocked.
The new Hulu reality series, which dropped on Friday, follows a group of eight mom TikTok influencers who navigate a swingers sex scandal.

The scandalous moms, known for their hashtag #MomTok, rose to fame on social media by documenting their lives as Mormon wives and mothers in Utah.
The cast includes Layla Taylor, Demi Engemann, Mayci Neeley, Jessi Ngatikaura, Mikayla Matthews, Whitney Leavitt, Taylor Frankie Paul, and Jen Affleck.
However, some people have made the connection that cast member Demi is linked to another reality series.
Demi, 30, is currently married to Bret Engemann — the ex-husband of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Angie Harrington.
Angie made cameos in the first two seasons of the Bravo series before signing on as a “Friend” for Season 3 and leaving ahead of Season 4.
Bret was a quarterback for Brigham Young University and remains known for his reputation there, rather than for his appearances on reality TV.
Angie shares two teenage sons with the former football player, while Demi has a child from a previous relationship.
Demi previously revealed that she married young and was divorced at 24 when her daughter, Maude, was just 3 years old.
The connection between the women was shared in an Instagram post, where fans reacted to the shocking realization.
“Ok this is wild lol,” one person said.
“Bonkers,” a second wrote, while a third said, “Oh that’s tea.”
“And the plot thickens,” wrote another.
Ahead of her Hulu show’s premiere, Demi revealed that she was tied to the RHOSLC cast.
“I actually interviewed to be on Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. And I know a few of the cast members just from past relationships,” she told Decider.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Info
Hulu’s newest reality series, which follows a group fo #MomTok influencers, was released on Sepetmber 6.
According to the show’s official synopsis, the series follows the “scandalous world of a group of Mormon mom influencers implodes when they get caught in the midst of a swinging sex scandal that makes international headlines.” The scandal began in 2022 after MomTok frontrunner Taylor Frankie Paul revealed she was divorcing her ex-husband, Tate Paul. During a TikTok livestream, Taylor shared with her followers that the divorce was prompted by his involvement in “soft swinging” among the MomTok community. Taylor said she and Tate agreed they wouldn’t “go all the way” with the other members. “The whole group was intimate with each other,” she said, adding, “Tate has made out with several girls and other things, and I’ve made out with all of the husbands and vice versa.” Two months after the news went viral, Taylor revealed the man she “cheated with” was her new boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen. The series stars Taylor, Jen Affleck, Layla Taylor, Demi Engemann, Mayci Neeley, Jessi Ngatikaura, Mikayla Matthews, and Whitney Leavitt.
“And so, yeah, we do cross paths and it’s not surprising because Utah is very small and especially the influencer world and community here is very tight-knit. So we do cross paths.”
DEMI & BRET
Earlier this summer, Demi opened up about meeting Bret — with whom she has a 16-year age gap.
The social media star was first introduced to her now-husband when she was 10 and he was 26.
Three years ago in 2021, the two rekindled and began a romantic relationship.
Demi’s recent post showed a clip of them standing in front of the camera and sharing a kiss.
“Thinking about the ‘you meet people twice’ theory and how I was 10 and he was 26 when we first met,” she wrote in the caption.
“The universe really said ‘not quite yet.'”
OTHER SERIES’ CONNECTIONS
Along with Demi’s connection to Angie, some of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars also have ties to the RHOSLC cast.
Layla is friends with RHOSLC alum Monica Garcia, who previously gave her advice on filming for reality television.
“I know Monica. We are just kind of internet friends and we chat here and there,” Taylor told the abovementioned outlet.
“She’s given me advice on the reality TV show world and stuff like that. Sweet girl. [I] wish she was still on this season, to be honest. I think she had a really good aspect to last season.”
Cast member Jessi also knows some of the RHOSLC ladies from working in the beauty industry with JZ Styles.
“I’m in the beauty industry and we all live in Salt Lake, so I actually do some of their hair and I’ve, you know, communicated with them,” she said of the Bravo women.
“They’re all amazing women. I think that they’re so good at what they do.”
However, Jessi noted that their new show is pretty different from the longtime Housewives franchise.
“We’re influencers and we’re just living our lives on camera, doing our thing in our friend group, whereas Housewives are usually a little bit older and a little more seasoned,” she said.
“We just kind of came in unhinged. But they are really great women. I look up to a lot of them.”
Season 1 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is now available to stream on Hulu.
