Mary Cosby Sets the Record Straight on Divorce Rumors in RHOSLC!

Is the Reality TV Divorce Curse a real thing? Speculation is currently swirling around the marriage of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Mary Cosby and her husband Robert.

“The ladies are filming again!” a Reddit user posted. “They [were] filming some scenes yesterday and tonight … This means episodes are almost done, and they are putting in some last touches, or some kind of Mary update.”

The day after the Reddit post first appeared, social media went wild. Posters wondered if filming for season 5 of RHOSLC had resumed to capture Mary announcing news of a possible divorce from her husband. Mary and Robert Sr. were living separately last season. Could they finally be getting a divorce?

Mary implies “I’m good”

In the early hours of July 26, Mary addressed the rumors on X (formerly Twitter). “Please Don’t Believe Lies! Love y’all.” She included a TikTok post of her listening to a song with lyrics stating, “I’m chilling, I’m good, I’m kicking back and I’m good.”

Appearing unperturbed, Mary bopped her head along to the tune and kept a smile on her face. The First Lady of the Faith Temple Pentecostal Church responded to a post (since deleted) about the rumors. She slammed all the speculation as “lies!!!”

Mary and Robert have been married for over 20 years, and they have an adult son together, Robert Jr. Robert Sr. was formerly married to Mary’s grandmother, and it was her dying wish that he and her granddaughter should marry.

In 1997, Mary’s grandmother Rosemary passed away, leaving her millions of dollars, businesses, and her family’s megachurch. But the stipulation was that Mary would have to marry her step-grandfather, Bishop Robert C. Cosby Sr.

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is now streaming on Peacock.
