Why RHONJ Fans Are Fiercely Opposed to Amber Marchese’s Comeback

When Amber Marchese was first cast on the Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 6, she seemed cool. That feeling lasted for five seconds before it became painfully obvious that Amber and her husband, Jim Marchese, were not in Kansas anymore. Amber was a try-hard who let her husband call the shots, badly. So, with Season 14 going so wrong, fans are worried Bravo might try to really shake up the cast by inviting Amber back.

Are the rumors about Amber Marchese’s return to RHONJ true?

Okay, first things first: If Amber were really in proper negotiations with Bravo, she wouldn’t be talking to the media. The network would have her on an NDA, and it would very much be a last-minute surprise. So when the OK! article hit newsstands; something smelled fishy. The news outlet reached out to Amber about a possible cast shakeup, and she had a lot to say.

Amber said, “I am surprised how much interest there still is in our story. It has been 10 years. I guess that is because Jim and I have real-life situations and not manufactured storylines.” At the risk of sounding biased, there is nothing about Amber’s life that I, as fan, would want to see on TV.  Jim added, “I am not sure how Andy will deal with not one but two educated MAGAs on the show! We will see if the need for ratings ‘Trumps’ politics. Pun intended.”

I think they are trying to drum up talk about their return in hopes Bravo will take the bait. But no matter how often Amber and Jim say, “Let’s make RHONJ great again,” they will not get my vote.

Amber Marchese’s husband kicked his son out for being gay

We always knew Jim was a bit of a cad. He never came across as a decent guy. But fans were introduced to a whole new side of the villain in 2019. At the time, Jim’s son started a GoFundMe page in hopes of raising $50,000 to help pay for his university tuition. Michael Marchese wrote in the description, “At the beginning of 2018, my father found out I was gay. This began two weeks of mental abuse that led to me and my brother living full-time with my Mom after telling her what was going on.”

The story was heartbreaking as Michael added, “Since this time, my father has been slowly cutting ties with me until I ‘live according to his standards.’ Essentially, this meant – and still means – that I have to be ‘straight’ and date women while ‘admitting’ that I chose to be gay so that I could get something out of it from my mother.”

Even though Jim and Amber denied the allegations, it wasn’t exactly a good look for the couple. Fans also recall a homophobic tweet Jim made in 2018. The New Jersey native wrote, “So true NO STRAIGHT MALE wants his son to be gay. A gay son is a curse that takes away your #family traditions #heritage #lgtbiq is a parents nightmare that destroys families. Ruins holidays like #Christmas #KevinHart, we support you! #LiberalismIsAMentalDisorder.” Bravo has always been a haven for the LGBTQ community so I don’t see the network inviting the Marchese’s back to the clubhouse.

Give Amber Marchese some water

Excuse my French, but this B is parched! Somebody give Amber some water quickly. It always amazes me how former cast members who were highly disliked feel that they deserve a second chance. The way Jim spoke to the women made me angry, as he was condescending and rude. But Amber was almost worse for me because she allowed that behavior to become normal within her household. Also, please correct me if I am wrong, but having to watch Amber was so cringey. She was a total kiss-up to Teresa Giudice. And she just wanted avenues to get her more time in front of the camera.

I’d go out on a limb and say Amber was the worst Real Housewives of New Jersey star of all time. And her insecure husband didn’t help either. So Amber, if you’re reading this, fans are not interested in your life. The only thing we care about is when you decide to divorce Jim. Then, maybe we can talk.
