Andy Cohen Admits Regret Over Soft Approach with Bethenny Frankel, Hints at Never Wanting to See Her Again

Andy Cohen regrets going easy on Bethenny Frankel in her past feud with Carole Radziwill, and he hints he never wants to see her again. The Real Housewives of New York alum recently accused Bravo of misconduct related to racism and alcohol intake. She also suggested that Andy was trying to belittle the public conversation about it.

In a past season of the show, Bethenny and Carole feuded hard following their initial alliance. In the reunion, many fans felt Andy was taking Bethenny’s side. According to speculation, Carole got fired because she challenged Bethenny, who was friendly with Andy and the network at the time.

On Watch What Happens Live, Andy said that “in retrospect,” he realizes he went too easy on Bethenny amid her feud with Carole in a past season.

Immediately after, Andy was asked which Housewife he “never want[s] to see or hear from again.”

“Did you just say it?” asked his guest Matt Rogers, referring to Bethenny.

“Well maybe,” answered Andy. “Just, uh… I think the answer is obvious.”

Back in 2018, columnist Rob Shuter claimed on Reality Life with Kate Casey that Bravo fired Carole because of her feud with Bethenny.

“When Bethenny wants to turn on you, she will turn,” shared Rob at the time. “If you’re going to be on the Housewives of New York, if you’re going to go up against Bethenny and she doesn’t want you around anymore, the chances of you surviving are not good.”

When Carole announced her exit earlier that year, she didn’t say directly that she quit.

“I am sure this does not come as a surprise to any of the viewers, all of whom have been supportive, encouraging, and kind. My original curiosity about reality television has waned over the years and I am focusing on TV and writing projects that better suit my more steady temperament,” she said in a statement to People. “I will remember this entire experience with delight, humor, and a veracious accuracy.”

The Real Housewives of New York now features an entirely new cast of women.
