Dolores Catania Spills the Tea on Teresa & Melissa’s Explosive Finale Clash: “Didn’t Seem…”

After dealing with a group divided on The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 14, Dolores Catania made one final effort to get all of the ladies in the same room together at Rails Steakhouse.

The dinner took place on the Season 14 finale (aka Season 14, Episode 13), but the cast members weren’t able to make a lot of progress in repairing their relationships.

The finale dinner also marked one of the only times feuding sisters-in-law Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga were in the same room on Season 14. Their intense exchange included a trade-off of insults followed by a pose-off.

The moment may have surprised viewers, but it didn’t shock Dolores in the slightest.

“Am I surprised at anything anymore? We’re getting used to this,” Dolores said about Melissa’s interaction with Teresa when she appeared on the August 4 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

Dolores also didn’t believe that the women were particularly upset at any of the insults they hurled at one another.

“They didn’t seem to be upset at either one, they just got mad at each other like they always do,” she added.

Elsewhere in the episode, Dolores said that she gets some heat from both Melissa and Teresa for remaining neutral in their drama. “Are you kidding me? You have no idea.”

She doesn’t regret it, however.

“I try to keep the peace,” Dolores explained. “Playing both sides of the fence is turning on one behind their back. I do nothing behind anybody’s back. I want to keep the peace.”

Dolores Catania teases RHONJ‘s “Off the Rails” post-finale special

After the shocking finale episode filmed, Dolores, Melissa, Teresa, and fellow castmates Margaret Josephs, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral, Rachel Fuda, Jackie Goldschneider, and Jennifer Fessler reunited once again at Rails to watch the episode together for the first time.

On WWHL, Dolores explained why it was “better” for the cast to get together at Rails rather than tape a traditional reunion.

“I think that finale was really hard on all of us, and it was better that we watched it the way that we did,” she said.
